Praet injured? He does seem to like Vester, well at least until Coady is fit. Have to say I would've thought Souttar would've been a better fit but hey, in Enzo we trust.

No VK is he still not fit?

Enzo said they're working with him to adapt to Doyle's current role

I'd say there's a good chance he sticks around because when it came to Thomas the answer wasn't as definitive

Iversen, Souttar, Kristiansen, Castagne, Soumare, Praet and Daka all fail to make the squad

When you look at it like that. It's crazy aint it.

Could also be there is little chance of anyone swooping in for Vesterguaard, so may as well utilise him this season.

Yes as Enzo has said we need 4 more players.

but got to shift the deadwood out first which is hard at the best of time but we also have Rudkin!

The fact we’ve also received close to 80m for our 2 star attacking threats and can’t get a RW or a 10 through the door until we move s***e no one wants is what’s most alarming tbh. There isn’t 15m from that to go and get Archer from Villa or someone similar? But yet there’s talk of spending it on THB at CB? Baffling. Especially if he’s happy to play Jannik and disregard Souttar but needs another CB. I’d be much happier keeping one of those 2 and getting a winger and an attacking profile midfielder through the door.

The finances must be dyer if we’re reliant on getting rid of the likes of Soumare, Ward, Iversen et al before we can sign an attacking option/s. Let’s hope ANYONE takes a gamble on them, they’re great, honestly….

I’m a little surprised about Praet. Thought he had turned a corner. Been one of our better players so far this season and losing him now once again leaves us needing another 8.

Didn’t Enzo name him as one of the four 8’s he wanted for the season along with KDH, Ndidi and Casadei?

Could have picked up an injury

Bench is crap. Only a guy we've never seen play and an eternal hope that Vardy can turn back the clock offer any hope of changing the course of a game.

Also not a fan of 2 keepers. The point is obvious but really doesn't need to be made publicly.

Our ability to win a game off that bench is shocking lol hope we score fairly early and get some rhythm.

we still have two goal scorers in Vardy and the new guy and then the work horse Albrighton, it's not that bad.

Most people id of thought seeing as hes one of the very few players in our squad who can provide creativity

Meh - get him gone to Torino or anywhere that'll take him. I'd rather have a player that's above average in a single position than one which blows luke warm to bang average across every midfield position on the pitch.

I'll give him the Cov game cameo but straight back to tepid after.

I really can't wait for us to have a fully settled squad. There's far too much deadwood hanging about, I really want us to move on from these same players being spoke about every week.

You’d certainly hope so, wouldn’t you. The thought of 90 mins of Wilf chasing his first touch in the 8 is purgatory!

I think people are being harsh on Ndidi. His first touch is poor but he’s been decent or good in most games this season. His combative qualities and hard work do make a difference. Today he can help against Aaron Ramsey for example. We’ve signed Casadei now but it seems like Maresca wants competition for places and with over 40 games left all of the box to box midfielders will get games.

As of this moment Casadei is a wildcard. It will be interesting to see how he does playing in a high possession team.

Except for Vestergaard it would seem 🤷‍♂️

Enzo said there are players who wanted to go and now don’t. I can only assume that Vestergaard is one of those..

One thing I thought was that when Ndidi came on against Huddersfield we exerted more control in midfield and they looked less threatening generally.

Just the eye test though so I'm probably wrong!

Sorry to be an arse but that's a truly horrendous shout.

All good. Just playing devils advocate as dont think he fits Enzos system as playing as a right winger. Also if Ndidi is in that role dont see why albrighton can’t either. Not saying he should start, far from it, but saying with a bit of work could do a job there

Drama queen much? Shall we compare our bench with theirs?

IMG_5044.jpeg

You’re right, that’s a good measuring stick. Cardiff have also just sold their 2 best players for a combined £80m after relegation from the Premier League and are aiming for promotion at the first attempt, so are recruiting accordingly.

Apples and Oranges, so we have a better squad than Cardiff? That still doesn’t detract from the fact our bench is quite obviously lacking in attacking options and the squad lacks balance?

Although Danny Ward probably still doesn’t make their bench, tbh.
