Selling or not selling is a gamble, there were people earlier in the window saying we should keep Maddison to "guarantee" promotion. The club can't turn down millions of Pounds and risk financial ruin by gambling the house on promotion. What other Championship clubs turn down eight figure sums for players in the last year of contract? Iheanacho is not prime Vardy, if we get a £15m+ offer and we can get someone in then it's going to look reckless if Iheanacho doesn't excel this season and we have seen no evidence that he will so far.

Maybe there is no evidence that he will excel this season, but he has still been much better suited to the way we are playing, and looked better in that system, than Vardy or I'm sure than Daka would have done.

So selling him means we have to replace him, which in itself will cost a good chunk of the money we will get by selling him.

If we have always had someone lined up, that is going to fit in with the way we are trying to play, in the event of a sale, I have no problem with selling him, but to sell him with 2 days of the window left, and no one lined up, and to be left scratching around looking for a panic buy would be foolhardy.

Which is why he dragged Albrighton off at half time, and why he will rarely use Albrighton other than to help see a game out in the last 5 or 10 minutes.

He doesn't want his wide players aimlessly crossing the ball into the box early.

He doesn't want to play with a big Chris Wood type striker, any more than Rodgers did.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing to have that kind of striker in the squad, to use as a plan B, but it's not what Enzo will do.

He has already said that if its the 88th minute, and we are 1-0 down, we are not going to change the way we play.  We will still be passing around trying to drag the opposition out of their shape, to create an opening.

So chucking high balls into a big striker is not an option for Enzo.

if they club dont have a replacement lined up then imo can say bye bye to promotion; as 1 striker and that being Vardy aint going to cut it, as for me in the system we play hes more of an impact player compared to a starter

 

plus playing Mav or the new winger from sporting in there wont be right either

Could get toxic real quick if that actually happens! 

Surely, Rudkin cannot be that stupid?! 

We must have a striker close to joining that Enzo really wants. 

It is awfully quiet though...
