Well in the first half last night ‘Enzo ball’ (Christ are we really calling it that??) was screaming out for some height in the box at the end of Albrighton’s crosses

That's up there with getting a manager who failed with the Greek national team.

Bonkers. The lot of ya.

Selling him at peak value is irrelevant when the cost of not gaining promotion from a financial point of view is much greater.

I do wonder whether people are being genuine or on some kind of wind up suggesting replacements for Nacho.

Crazy times.  Roll on Saturday and end this madness.

Oh my point wasn’t to get Wood, my point was ‘Enzo Ball’ as it was phrased last night could have done with a target man

Chris wood is definitely not the answer if Iheanacho goes. It's got to be someone who can look after the ball better than Iheanacho and Chris Wood is not that man.

What about Kramaric

Why would he leave the Bundesliga, where he's thrived, to return to the second tier of English football at a club that chronically underused him?

This keeps coming up time and time again. Kels does not equal promotion. Kels who doesn't want to be here certainly doesn't equal promotion. There are so many assumptions banded around.

I think we are now in the lap of the gods somewhat. If its true that Wolves are offering circa £100k a week, then his head is going to be turned pretty sharpish. He won't be wanting to stay here out of blind loyalty. We don't know how any of this is panning out nor do we know how Kels feels about playing under Enzo.

Im resigned to him going btw, and it not being the end of the world.

So are you confident that we'll get a decent replacement in? Because Maresca doesn't seem to want Daka anywhere near the first team and Vardy will turn 37 in January...

No - i'm not confident of that at all. But with one assist in the League so far (and we even won a cup game without him!), im banking the the Kels we all want from a few seasons ago isn't going to magically reappear nor really be something that creeps out of this system. The goals are going to come from elsewhere, and Enzo may need to be creative with his expectations around a false 9 and continue to use Vardy as an impact sub.

To be fair he would suit the style of football Enzo wants to play more than when he was here before😆

its 5 games mate theres another 40 or somet to play, Vardy ain't done shit either sometimes it takes a goal to get the striker off the mark, plus it's not like he has played shit he has still been involved in build ups and assisted 2 and scored 1. dunno what the problem is tbh.

Agreed. Toward the end of the first half at Rotherham, Iheanacho cleared out the the pitch, which enabled Mavididi to take off home free— if Stephy didn’t bungle that chance, the game would have been over by then. Iheanacho has still been a total menace in the league.

Has he? Always gets me this does

He's not won a single thing at Hoffenheim cup wise, he has a pretty average goal record boarding on under average actually & certainly not thriving. He's scored 100 lge goals in 8 seasons thats an average of 12.5 per season hardly a goal machine in what could be argued a weaker league than the Premier.
Wish he would stop being brought up as 1 that got away, he wasn't as good as what we had at the time & probably since, yes he has carved out a very middle of the road career for himself no different to someone who has sat at somewhere like Palace for 8 seasons, that is it!

I kind of agree you in some ways he hasn't been shit but I think that's down to him being inconsistent.

Where did i say there had been a problem?

Hesket scored 10ish a season for Leicester but was part of a winning team. Centre forward doesn't need to be 25 goals a season for him to be the right man.

Umm... you're sort of right.

However, Heskey played with 2 up front and had a strike partner... Nacho ( or Vardy) play down the center on their own so goals are kind of expected from them..

He’s scored 100 goals in 224 Bundesliga appearances - not far off a goal every other game. Some people might argue that’s comfortably above ‘average, bordering on below average’.
