There is no striker we can get for similar cash this late that will be better than Nacho.

That’s a fair take. But maybe there’ll be someone who fits the system better. Maybe Nacho has downed tools a bit off the pitch. Maybe, maybe, maybe.

Sell both Nacho & Ndidi 👍

Yes ...good business in my opinion. Thirty million for two players who don't want to be here.

I'd be amazed if we're not left with Vardy and another striker by the end of the window. That striker might be Iheanacho, Daka brought back into the fold or someone who hasn't even been mentioned yet.

I think the time to criticise or panic is at 23-01 on Friday, it's all probably very complicated at the moment waiting for dominoes to fall.

Good business if there wasn't just 2 days left to bring in a replacement.

This....

Whilst lots people on here think they can manage the football club better than the incumbents, no one is stupid enough to risk the best start we've ever made to a campaign, in a season that is so important to get back to the Premier league, by selling strikers for £15M with no replacement when £130M minimum is at stake for getting back in.

It's better than Wolves or Forest and it's London which players seem to prefer.

Have quite a nice attacking line up with Eze and Olise (if they both stay). The one thing they've really lacked for a while is a proper centre forward.

...Nacho is not an out-and-out striker, more a #10, playing like a false #9!!!

Reeks of January where we’d been crying out for a right winger for about 5 years… sign 1 then sell our other 2 last minute leaving us with only 1 RW who turned out to be the Brazilian junior Lewis

But that same logic could be applied to the mistakes they made (e.g. not sacking Rogers earlier) when the money lost in prem revenue far outweighed that tw@ts severance.

At least you'd like to think they've learnt the lesson in terms of what their priorities are. Getting a striker in before they're sold, as it doesn't sound like that's being worked on a part of me which isn't fully trusting they'll do the right is a little concerned.

We can always sell in Jan, don't see the rush.. no way have we got a striker lined up that is capable of fitting into this system.

How do you know that ?

When I say proper centre forward. I mean someone who can score or link up play while standing at the top of the pitch - whatever position we call it. Nacho can do that better than their current choices.

Their only other options are Mateta, Ayew or Edouard. It's been Palace's biggest weakness for a while. He's pretty much a guaranteed starter in the Premier League for the first time in his life.

w'ed get about 5m, if we tried to sell in January.

The reality is that Maresca has already been on to Nacho about his work rate. we wont get someone as good but we might get someone faster, who presses more and who fits the system. I dont think we have to rely so much on Rudkin... Man City have a massive scouting division and there will be a plethora of peeople Maresca knows about who have all those attributes but were deemed not good eough for Man City... especially younger players. Maresca will know exactly who he wants...

This is the consequence of relegation.

We need to sell players. Some players that we don't want too.

It's makes absolute business sense to sell Nacho for as much as we can.

From a footballing sense, he's our best striker and will be difficult to replace.

We're a business and money talks.

I think we need a sense of reality here on this forum.
