Whilst I agree I am thinking we have little timetable replace unless there is something on the burner

Then we're playing people not giving 100% in case of injury and not interested in the future of the club. We can't ever make that mistake again.

Totally agree but if this happens it should have happened at least a week ago.

Asking price is 20 million according to Tom Collomosse, too high for all his suitors.

On phone so can’t post link.

So barring a bit of last minute desperation from a club, he's likely to stay then.

This will only happen if someone gets desperate and pays over the odds. Which will be good business if that's the case. Good on us for holding out for decent money

But leaves us in the shitter as we will have no time for a replacement and will also have to pay over the odds to bring in a replacement of similar caliber or better.

Agree. But there will be plans in motion that we aren't savvy to I'm sure. Getting the same level of ability is the tough one but maybe Enzo has a target who is maybe less in ability but suits his style more...who knows!?

Don't see him being sold. Too important. We're derailing promotion if we do this, hence why we won't.

Someone will offer £20m, this is going to be interesting. Strikers available at thst price at the end of the window become hugely tempting.

Stupid thing is, anyone of Forest, Brentford, Palace, Wolves, Everton could have easily got him for £15m-£20m at any point this summer. And earlier in the window would have been far easier for us to sell.

We have form for unbelievably dense business.

agreed- he will be sold- and has to be really - he is worth more than that but not with 1yr left- if he is not sold tomorrow he probably signs a pre contract somewhere abroad in January and we get nothing- surely we do not let that happen again with one of the last remaining players that is actually wanted and worth any decent money

Given Iheanacho has been a flight risk all summer the club will have replacements identified, there is nothing to say we haven’t already got a replacement sorted or finalising a deal for one prior to him leaving.

Do people honestly think Kel or Daka are going to leave and then at 10.30 on Friday the recruitment team turn round look at each other and go “ right anyone have any ideas on replacements as we really didn’t see that happening” are just whinging for whinging sake

Let me fix that for you...

Given has relegation has been a real risk all season the club will have contingencies identified, there is nothing to say we haven’t already got a replacement sorted or finalising a deal for one prior to Rodgers leaving.

Do people honestly think Leicester are going to be terrible for months on end and then with only 8 games left the board are going to turn round look at each other and go “ right anyone have any ideas on new managers as we really didn’t see this relegation coming” are just whinging for whinging sake

Not that dense surely.

Who getting in as a replacement?

It would be ludicrous.

Yes. We wasted an international break which could have been vital to getting us out of the relegation zone and clearly had nobody lined up when Rodgers wanted to negotiate his exit.

EDIT: wait a second, I think I see what you did there!

He's someone with a year left on his contract, who the manager doesn't REALLY fancy, who hasn't scored in our first 4 games (not saying he hasn't had influence.)

If Palace are offering 15-20m plus JRS on loan then ****ing go for it!

As much as I agree we've done some pretty dense business, there's absolutely no way we haven't started making enquiries about other strikers, we need 3 next year no matter what division we are in!
