Popular Post Finnegan Posted 28 August 2023 Popular Post Posted 28 August 2023 In fairness, given that he might be available for like £6m and he loves a one-on-one take-on maybe he's the "versatile forward" to cover basically... every position. This is interesting: Pretty much played everywhere. Reckon he's about due a stint at Centre Back. Or, actually, can't be any worse than Danny Ward. 6 1 4

moore_94 Posted 28 August 2023 Posted 28 August 2023 The AFCON thing would worry me like it currently does with us keeping both Nacho and Daka 3

We'll just play Albrighton up front on his own throughout January to give the rest of the league a chance to get back up to within 20 points again. Wouldn't want us getting complacent. 4
kingfox Posted 28 August 2023 Posted 28 August 2023 Scored 12 goals in a relegated Troyes team last season, his all round play though can be very meh. I’d be very sceptical about signing strikers from lower half Ligue 1 teams/Ligue 2 teams, unless your name is Georges Mikautadze.

After his relegation to the Championship at the end of the last Premier League season, Leicester is also interested in the Bissao-Guinean striker. According to our latest information, the leaders of the English club have made an offer to their French ESTAC counterparts to offer themselves the 27-year-old player. Leicester management would like to close the deal as quickly as possible. SEE ON TWITTER Very bad news for Olympique Lyonnais and its leaders, who are also on the spot, knowing that the Rhone club has also made an offer to convince the Trojans to sell them Mama Baldé. It must be said that the ESTAC striker is one of the sure values of League 1. If the ESTAC experienced a particularly complicated 2022/2023 exercise, with a relegation to Ligue 2 as a highlight, the Bissao-Guinean, for his part, scored 12 achievements and delivered 4 assists last season. He should therefore not stay long in the antechamber of French football. Case to follow.
Big Dave Posted 28 August 2023 Posted 28 August 2023 The original post says he is a striker, whereas the Tweet (sorry, but i don’t know what to call it now) regarding Sheffield United says he is a winger. What position does he play?

Samilktray Posted 28 August 2023 Posted 28 August 2023 Seen this bloke earlier as I was walking past the ground on my way home from work, honestly had no idea he was a footballer and tbh I thought like me, he was just a normal every day guy 2

This is interesting: Pretty much played everywhere. Reckon he's about due a stint at Centre Back. Or, actually, can't be any worse than Danny Ward. Thanks for sharing! So not only has played there, but scored and assisted pretty heavily from both Striker and the wing. This seems to be part of the profile of the players that Maresca is signing, as Mavididi also played across the front 3, even if he's only featured wide left for us so far. Players like that I think are very good as impact players and also overall depth. We are scoring a lot of late goals this season, and I'd expect that to continue. The overall pattern is to start well and control the game, then we have a brain fart between minutes 45-70 where we let them back in, and then we bring on players from the bench and wrap it up. Having lots of players that can play in multiple positions is good because we can target players that look tired. E.g. if their left back looks knackered, bring on players for the right wing. If it's the left back, put someone on that side. Need more energy up top, replace the striker, etc, etc. Our system is also pretty fluid with players cropping up in slightly different parts of the pitch. It reminds me of how Man City these days have more players like Grealish, Foden and Bernardo that can operate out wide and inside if needed. Though, they did also just sign Doku to give them one of the best 1 v1 players in Europe. In the video clips posted earlier in the thread, he's really rapid. Pace and a great work ethic kills teams in the Championship. Overall, looks like a good pickup for our division, who might be a bit meh in the top flight. But that's a relatively cheap price. 5
