Viktor Kristiansen joins Bologna on loan

Leicester City Football Club can confirm that Victor Kristiansen has signed a loan deal with Serie A side Bologna, subject to league approval.

 

- Defender to spend 2023/24 campaign in Italy
- He made 14 appearances for Leicester City last season

 

The Danish left-back featured on 14 occasions for the Foxes last term following his move from FC Copenhagen in January.

 

He will now spend the 2023/24 campaign in Italy with I Rossoblù, who are next in action against Cagliari on Saturday 2 September.

Feel a bit sorry for VK, don't think he did anything wrong. But I also respect the fact that if he's not going to get used to get him game time / a potential move. No point sitting on depreciating assets.

Sounds like there is not a permanent purchase option, which is interesting if true. 

 

Bologna site says there IS an option to buy.

 

Bologna Fc 1909 announces that it has acquired from Leicester City Fc the right to the sporting services of defender Victor Kristiansen on a temporary basis until 30 June 2024 with an option for permanent acquisition.

Says more about Martin Reynolds tbh theres no way these were Rodgers signings.

Good luck to him. Seemed to really care, joined us at the worst time. But some of his positioning was very questionable.

don't think is about that at the minute is it- we have plenty from other sales- its about getting squad numbers down and wages of the books to bring a replacement in- no way him and castagne leave and we dont bring in 1 more defender- expect that before this time tomorrow

See you in 12 months, Bologna not paying that fee. He seemed a slightly strange character but you can’t fault his commitment and effort on the pitch, doesn’t fit how we want to play but good luck to him. Beautiful city to live in and play, I’m sure he’ll do well.
