Yup....he's only 20 years old, they'll keep him for 2 to 3 years after they trigger their option which is around 10m and he gets better they will probably sell him to a top Italian or EPL team for 3 or 4 times as much as they paid for him.

It's such a shame Leicester let him go after afew months considering many sporting articles have said he's up and coming talent from Denmark.

I wouldn’t imagine they even do that.

Bologna probably haven’t got the cash to spend the fee. They will sign him and transfer him off to another Italian club within a month or so.

Atalanta used expertly do this, effectively making £7 to £10 m from a loan deal

Relegation has meant we have had to make some tough short term decisions. Im sure there are a multitude of factors that led to offloading Victor, and unfortunately being a player that had some level of loan/sale interest would have been part of it.

I've just read that he assisted with 2 goals for Bologna. I always thought he looked decent. It's always a mystery what Managers see different in players.

...he looked just as effective when he first came into our team, the same for Thomas when he came in as well!!!

Any change of style of play is always going to affect a player, and sometimes it plays to their weakest points and there is no way that they can overcome that problem in a short while, as it will be something that has to be worked on off the pitch and hope to correct in match conditions.

Seemingly isn’t required and didn’t want to be here by all accounts.

I’ve heard over players didn’t take to him.

A debut that went well (then again, so did Teté) but was a bit poor after. He was horrendous in that league game, however is still young. It’ll be interesting to see how he gets on.

Our January business looks horrendous though in hindsight, let’s be honest.

His performance was probably affected by his treatment by the trio highlighted in previous post. It probably knocked him inside aswell.

The guys just 20 and first time he's moved to another country.

In any new work environment when your ignored by your colleagues, you kind switch off and think what's the point in being there, which inturn affects your performance

If he performs very well at Bologna then it wouldnt surprise you if they took up the option and then sold him on immediately for a nice profit

of course we should have put restrictions into any contract to stop that but I doubt we were cute enough ….

...true, but you feel he believes in himself, I do not think he is in any way a shrinking violet!!!

Sometimes someone comes into a group and acts as if they have always been there, it infuriates the existing group and the new player not backing down. I would think that a lot of us have been in this situation, it just depends on which side you fall on.

Last season was very vocal from the moment he arrived and he Called out underperforming prima-donnas when things got tough for us , had run ins with Maddison and Barnes towards end of season, was very vocal about standards and Enzo didn’t warm to him, there is an issue at the club right now that we do not have engrained leadership on the field or in the playing squad, VK brought that to the table, very clever and very very strong willed player, time will tell but it could be a terrible call to let him go

I am surprised that Enzo didn’t warm to him, given he is a manager who has very high standards and expectations from his players and has often talked about leadership etc, so there must be something within VK’s make up or the way he conducts himself that has raised some red flags with the new management team.

Similar to his countryman Kasper in his ways who could be a right mardy arse at times

No it was not because he was flawed in any way,  he wanted a move, he made that clear he was shunned and treated badly last year, I think Enzo isn’t a man to try stop someone who wants out and he wanted out and that was it, Enzo didn’t warm to him.

VK will go on to have a very good career he will end up back in the premier league one day worth a lot more than we will be letting him go for

can you imagine being almost a teenager the you arrive in a new country the manager tells you he wants you to bring a champions league mentality to the team and when you puff your chest out the bullies in the squad absolutely destroy you and shun you, he was a kid, his performances fell apart because a small number of players set out of Haze him and cut him to size

I really hope he goes on to show those individuals that he really was the real deal

If that’s true then it’s no surprise we got relegated with people like that in the squad.

I'm so sad to hear this. He brought in what we desperately needed (and need) then. Disappointing that Enzo didn't try to change his mind—he seemed perfect as competition for Doyle too. Hopefully Bologna don't take up the buy option and VK can come back into a refreshed squad, free of that ridiculous behaviour.

I agree entirely with the sentiment of your post but know you tend to know ‘stuff’ so just wanted to pick up on the bolded big. After the season ended, VK interviewed and said he was clearly wanting to stay and get us back up so I really find it unlikely that he would have wanted out if he was to be part of the team. So it seems more that Enzo just didn’t like him for whatever reason so can’t blame VK for then wanting to leave but surely that was based on the future not the past, last season?

Thanks for the context pal and those players who have bullied him are an absolute disgrace especially when you consider the lack of bollox  the squad showed last season. I am assuming the group was the ones who had a liking for darts?

The more you read on stuff like this, the more you really hate a lot of last years squad.

And some of them are still here unfortunately, certainly one of them who was part of that group.
