You've actually agreed with me here, but as with the other posters who have quoted me you've missed my point. I was saying they weren't impossible saves, and if you think some keepers could have saved it then that would be right.

 

I never claimed that Mads wasn't good enough for us or that he should be dropped. Just like to see players get a crack at things so raised the Jakub point, that's all. Your response was by no means the worst but some of the responses were just a bit OTT defensive of him (except a post on the stats which I didn't mind too much as it was good discussion) hence why I tried to explain some entirely subjective reasons why some hypothetical universe version of Enzo would decide to drop him.

Because what is your point? That we should have signed Neuer or Alison? Your talking world class keepers and without seeing the goal multiple times over I couldn’t even tell you if they would have saved it. 
 

You have just admitted yourself in your own words that you are picking at very fine details, for what? Just because a goalkeeper doesn’t make a save that only 1% of professional goalkeepers in the world could save doesn’t mean anything. Especially when your suggestion is to try an academy keeper instead.

For discussion on a discussion forum, its not as if anything will be done with my comments and be used as an actual appraisal of the player so what's the harm? And again, did not once suggest that he should be dropped. For the final point, I'm by an absolute mile not the first person on this forum to do that or even in this thread alone.

We'll probably find making chances easier than we have all season. Problem is they've actually got the quality to punish our defensive lapses. Be a good one for the neutrals.

Starski is just starting his 1st team career, probably higher jump than Madi.

But both are just Babes in the woods as far as GKs are concerned.

Again…only 5 games into a new platform,into the season for both..

Believe me, I'm not criticising Stolarczyk... just pointing out that Hermansen is outperforming him and shouldn't be dropped, as should be the case given his comparative experience and transfer fee. 

 

This is a huge jump for Stolarczyk since his loans last season and it's to his credit that he is above the other three more experienced keepers in the pecking order and rightly so.

They couldn't even get 1 past Sunderland, many in this thread are really overrating Southampton.

Stolarczyk did get a chance in the league v Huddersfield and kept a clean sheet. In actual fact he's not let in a goal yet in any of the 3 games he's played this season.

In their quest to rid players on big wages, Southampton have possibly gone too far. Selling Ward Prowse was a big mistake if they want auto promotion this season. He’s a good player.

So the Southampton side who started the season so well, ain’t the same side now.

That said, this game will be tough. I expect btts

Hoping to see us move the ball around a lot quicker. So pedestrian against Hull, almost Puel like. I understand we are learning a new system but we have players with enough experience of moving the ball quickly along with being aggressive in our pressing. We are giving the opposition all the time they need to set up against our style of play.

Predicting both our best performance by far this season, and also a 3-2 loss, think this is the worst possible time to play Saints.

 

I'd love to see:

         Justin Faes Doyle

Have you seen their GK? He’s worse than Danny Ward. They could have a prime Messi play for them and they wouldn’t gain promotion with Bazunu in goal.

I hope @BillyFOX12will be prepared when 35k LCFC fans come knocking on his front door 5k around the back door ( just in case) 20 minutes after the match..:D

 

ps: just realised Friday night kick off, The whole Saturday to party with kids and trimmings at billyfox12 boy’s pad.

We need our attacking 8’s to be more technically better so Wilf is benched and Casadei takes his spot.

 

KDH has been wasteful for us but there isn’t anyone to take his place, I wouldn’t mind seeing McAteer play this position at some point, maybe as a sub for KDH if he still performs poorly.

Think we could lose by a few. Honestly even when we were winning it was pretty poor. Difficult to trust us when we’ve not produced a 90 minute performance. It’ll tell us where we are at. Worried about this one
