It is clear Mavididi just saw goal when through everytime, the guy can be truly great but when you have better options you need to pick it out and quick. I hate putting negatives on what was a very good performance, but I know he can be so much better

Bloody fantastic. 
 

I said that tonight and Wednesday will show what we are really made of because these teams won’t sit back against us. And look what’s happened. 
 

Never under any real pressure. Never broke down. Played some lovely football and fully controlled the game. Plenty of chances. Still room for improvement, too.

Looking forward to seeing how we perform against a competent football team on Tuesday as tonight tells us nothing other than passing out from the back when you're under pressure and not very good as passing is really dumb.

Was half expecting to come in here and see you make your first positive post of the season but no the wait goes on…..

Best performance of the season so far, with some nice intricate build up play, miles away from the lethargic build up Rodgers employed.

I'd hate to be a Saints fan though based on that performance.

Woeful at the back and pretty turd going forward.

Take away Walker Peters and they had nothing going forward.

Just a very well-organised, well thought out performance that shows Maresca’s managerial class and just what a duffer Russell Martin is.

On paper, two well-matched sides.

In reality, tactically miles apart.

I said after a week or two in that Enzo knows what he’s doing.

He knows what he’s doing..

Out in Leeds, where I live. Watching it in Walkabout. Only six people upstairs. TV's turned off downstairs. Vardy scores. Big cheer from these two lads, students. Went over to be able to celebrate with someone. Now a bit drunk. Happy days. "We're gonna win the league..."

Great performance and the only gripe is not scoring more as we missed some sitters.
