Delighted for my Polish chums today.

Thanks for the heads-up, I'd not noticed this news.

Seems massive for politics within Europe - and could presumably have consequences for Ukraine, after recent strife with Poland?

Some analysis for anyone interested, though I claim no expertise on Polish politics:

"Conservatives" is a very generous term for them.

Either everyone who used to post in the news thread is banned from the news thread or they are being very restrained.

I think the news is largely all about Israel / Palestine.

Sacked for buying two sandwiches, and yet Cabinet members appear to be able to do almost anything and retain their jobs. Maybe it’s time to change how we employ our political masters?

Lying is generally frowned up in the workplace, unless you are an MP in which case you obviously just misspoke.

Woman crushed by elephant

Solution:

Go to an ethical elephant sanctuary where the beasts are cared for in their environment and not expected to provide performances or services.

Yes, and easy to see now, although I can say that in Thailand in the Early 2000s, almost everyone travelling took an Elephant ride - I don't recall a single conversation about not doing it.

More than 20,000 people in the UK have now been approached covertly online by Chinese spies, the head of MI5 said.

It comes amid a new warning to tens of thousands of British businesses of the risk of having their innovation stolen.

Ken McCallum was speaking to the BBC at an unprecedented public appearance of the security chiefs of the Five Eyes alliance in California.

The newest front in the realpolitik spy game.

I get that this was 20 years ago, but I've been to Chiang Mai a couple of times and most elephant sanctuaries now seem to frown on this practice (publically, anyway) and there's an understanding that it's painful for the elephants.

I'm sure there are unethical places for thick tourists and cvnts, but I think it's dying out with education thankfully.

The moral of the story: don't fvck with wild animals 50 times your weight.

How much are they paying?

I work for the state and I'm broke as ****. Chinese spies - I'll give you all the insider information you could want about pubs, schools, and road closures in North West Leicester but it'll cost ya.
