I guess it's just pent-up frustration at the sheer amount of people that seemingly purposefully ignore the entire post and pick out one comment and make that your entire position. I completely get that it might come across as a downer, but if you actually look at the post as a whole I made multiple positive points, then made the comment that there is an area we still need to improve (for balance) and then finished off with a mention of the record we've just broken.

If people see it as a "downer" it's because they WANT to see it as a downer.  :dunno:
Regarding the comment on "the time you chose to post it annoyed. Immediately after setting a record number of wins" given where we are in the table I'm not sure there is ever a right time to point out some improvements lol

I bet when we won the premier league you were not happy as we'd drawn a few games and conceded a few goals, so missing the point of the achievement and instead focussing on our lack of perfection

It carries on..

Thought their central defenders weren’t up to much and had a mistake in them when pressed. Which we couldn’t do often enough.

Maybe you couldn’t press them because they were up to much?

Of course not, because we were playing well above our teams capability.
We were massively over performing what we all expected.

Very strange thing point you’ve made there. Have a good one 👍

Yeah I like him and don't dislike Swansea but there is 100% an undercurrent of being hard done by here. The ref was fine.

Agree - and their goal (according to their own OS) took a deflection - whilst our 'fortuitous' goal was vestergaard being in the right place, at the right time - not a beauty but far from lucky.

To be fair we made numerous mistakes today - JJ played them in three times with terrible passes, ricardo at least once which really should have been a goal - fortunately we're now much better at responding to these than we were last season.

Great game to watch. A lot of great bits, some iffy moments and should have scored a few more.

Thought Swansea were decent too but just could not live with us. KDH absolutely outstanding again. Since he has been told to think about his runs he has got better and better. Missus is on a promise tonight. 🙂

If my missus is on a promise I get to give her a massage till she falls to sleep

It's boring being this good.

We should put Ward back in goal just to give the opposition a fighting chance & glimmer of hope.

:dunno:

Keep your keeper thoughts for your self pleasure time:D

Someone on twitter saying our goal difference from the 60th minute onwards this season is 15 scored, none conceded.

Absolutely bonkers that. Shows how we pass teams to death and then finish them off. Relentless and ruthless, love to see it.

I need to see said tweet… needs a RT from myself lol absolutely wild stat

I rate Michael Duff very highly, if in 2-3 years, Enzo was pipped we could do far worse than taking Duff, speaks sense, he will be a premiership manager at some point wouldn't be shocked if they have an outside chance of the play offs.

xG is okay but I think it's a very complicated statistic, the xG is fine but it doesn't really have any way to take into account the quality of player or the quality of chances. Given the quality of chances we create not just in terms of shots on goal but also in terms of getting into a shooting position. In terms of shots taken to goals scored we should be top of the table with the players we have which was my point on that.

All of this was part of a wider point that on many occasions this season we have gone into the final 15 minutes with the opposition still able to take points from us, yes ultimately we have finished off many games in that final period, but given the quality we have, we should be burying games long before that. :scarf:

I see your point here about the last 15 minutes, but the more I watch us play this season, the more I think this is part of Enzo’s plan - play the ball around and wear teams out for 70 odd minutes, then hit them in the last 20.

I think I’m right in saying we haven’t conceded a second half goal since the opening day, let alone one in the last half an hour. And other than Hull, we’ve scored at least one goal every game in the last 20 minutes - these sorts of things don’t happen by accident.

The finishing could have been slightly better today, but the fact we’re creating chances and the quality of player we have in the final third means we’ll not be kept out too often this season.

The most expensive and best second tier team in history doing what they do.

Enzo needs to face criminal charges if this lot doesn't smash records!

What a group!

P.s. I love Enzo.

What I find amusing,in a few of our games & again today…

Mads seems to get a free ride…If any of our defenders made the mistakes he has in passing the ball out, they would get crucified..

Not today but over the past weeks, committing very simular errors costing us a goal,or just luckily holding them off…

I am getting to wonder if this is a type of tactic from Enzo, quietly tells MADs to make a few clangers,

# to give oppo a couple of freebies

# to keep our defenders on knife edge..

It seems like when the opposition scores, it's almost a fluke. Contrast this to a year ago.

Glad to come away with 3 points today. I think someone will get an absolute hammering this season, one game everything will click and I think we'll score 6 or 7.

It's coming - and maybe more than once. They're getting better and better each week.

when do we play them? because that could  be the most leicester of leicester results 😂

29th November at Hillsborough.

Either going to be:

Sheffield Weds 1-0 Leicester

or

Sheff Weds 0-7 Leicester

And nowhere between isn’t it lol

Takeaways from extended highlights for me. 1) we look better when a team presses us, allows us to play through that press.

2) Ndidi massive improvement this season but, I was left thinking for the first time, I'm not sure he's consistent enough for where we really wanna be, which is top 10 premiership.

3) KDH- I think will benefit from a season in the championship, impressed with some of his passing.

4) How much better do we look with pace on both wings.

5) hmmm maybe Faes/Vestegaard may be good enough should we get promoted back to the prem, but still believe the ceiling is probably bottom half of premiership for them.

6) Love that we have a goalkeeper that can use his feet.

Hats off to those who made the train trip yesterday.      What with flooding in several places (especially between Swindon and Bristol Parkway), it made for some extended diversions to get there on time.
