I mean - do you think that Hamza was the first player to drive whilst over the limit or the first one to get caught? - let's not forget that most football players (not all but most) are not the brightest sparks.....

Doesn’t mean it’s ok though.

He's a good Leicester servant, blows VERY hot and cold and sadly got caught up in the trappings of being paid shedloads of money for not being very good.

Shame, if he had applied himself a bit more rather than going to parties in Covid, caught in the car over the limit etc.  I would suggest a bit more application to the limited ability he had might have meant he might have been a decently better player for us.

BUT in the end he got a 4 year contract out of us last year, when probably he should have been on his way.

Good Luck with the international thing, lets hope he doesn't have the same thing happen to him that happened to Abdul on meaningless international duty.

Wouldn’t say he blows very hot, he didn’t have a stand out season for Watford in the champ, had a few good games last year, one particular stands out, but most as bit part player he averaged about 16 games worth of minutes in total.
Well out of his depth in the top flight, that said he doesn’t seem to lack application when called upon.

he was a good back up to Riccy P last season but no where near PL level, in retrospect the contract was a mistake but Enzo wanted it at the time so can't complain he was backed

How is he a good Leicester servant? You've basically identified why he isn't. He lucked out by being paid a hideous salary in a team that was best of the rest for the majority of his time here. He's then put a whole season in jeopardy by taking part in a COVID party, been done for drink driving and been fined for racist tweets, amongst many other things. In what way has he been a good servant?

A little under-rated player, by some?..

Am sure that he acknowledges in being daft in the drink-drive incident.

I bet he doesn't. Not exactly a small rap sheet is it...

Is there any point? Bangladesh are very unlikely to qualify for anything anytime soon. Lots of extra travelling...

For some, the lots of extra travel is the point. Get to go and see a bit of the world, playing football along the way doesn’t sound like a bad gig.

He’ll quickly become their best player, get a bit of exposure in Bangladesh and no doubt pick up some extra sponsorship deals over there too.

Nothing to lose really, especially for a player who’s game time is quiet limited. It might even get him a big move, places like the US, Saudi Arabia and even Italy have huge pockets of Bangladeshi people - if you’re a team trying to get more of the community through the gate, it could lead to a decent pay check.

Well I didn't say it was all good did I? My point was that there are plenty of people in the community that have probably done it before. But because it's Hamza people need to make it out that he's the only bad egg in the camp becuase he drove whilst over the limit.

For what it's worth I despise it when people make that choice as it's purely selfish. But on the same token Hamza wasn't the first and unfortunately won't be the last

Well, I imagine 99.9% of those that drink and drive aren't professional footballers with the responsibilities that come with that. And your sentence does not vindicate him.

The guy's a failure whether or not he's the only "bad egg". He let his irresponsible attitude fail his rational judgement which was induced by alcohol.

He's no good for the club or the team.

Everyone makes mistakes but my feeling is, Hamza was arrogant, drunk and took a chance without thought for the potential consequences.

You seem to want to absolve him in some way, yet you say in the last sentence that you "despise it when people make that choice".

By that statement you condemn Hamza having earlier tried to defend him. :dunno:

Absolutely I didn't try and defend his actions. I was merely making a point that Hamza probably isn't the only footballer who has made that choice and more than likely probably not the only Leicester City player that has made that choice. But because it's out in the public domain people are fixated on that point to say he's a "bad egg"

Some people like to get on their high horse as if they've never done anything wrong in their life or made bad decisions.

By all means you can say he's not good enough for the team etc. But seemingly his fellow players like him and get along with him so where this "bad egg" idiology comes from I don't know. Perhaps those people just want an excuse to scapegoat him in particular? I don't know? Like I said, he's a clown for what he did, but to not also admit that he probably isn't alone in the camp for making stupid decisions is simply not right. And so is the assumption that he's a bad egg because of a couple of wrong decisions, He's maybe a thick egg. But no real proof that he's a bad one.

He got caught, that's the difference.

Proud of him, many players get lost waiting to play for England some day but let's be honest. Even if he was world class he wouldn't get picked for England cos he plays for us. So I for one think more players like him shouldn't wait to be picked for England and play for 2nd national if they can

Well he has loads of spare time ... as he could never be considered a first team regular ... more a sticking plaster

Not a fan then?  Well he's been one of our own for a while:D

No I'm not, and I don't understand why anyone would be. He's proven to be an absolute tool and he's very average as well.

I will probably cut players from our youth system more slack than 99% on here, but we're so far past that stage with Hamza. I'd say it's crazy we have him yet another deal but let's be honest, we have absolutely no sense of sound business in this club.

Yea big problem. That and he’s a million miles from world class!
