It's clear that the way the team starts games is very much part of Enzo's plan - keep possession, be patient and wait for openings, and then step up the intensity if needed in the second half. It's working - we're top of the league. Maresca is not going to suddenly tell them to play at a high tempo from the first whistle, not matter how much we'd like to see that. deep blue Posted 29 November 2023 Posted 29 November 2023 It will be interesting to see, as we get towards the latter stage of the season, whether this approach from Maresca enables us to last out the season better, physicality-wise, than the teams that have pressed much more. If so, we might find we have a very profitable run-in. 1
SystonFox Posted 29 November 2023 Posted 29 November 2023 is this the main game on sky or a red button jobbeh?

OntarioFox Posted 29 November 2023 Posted 29 November 2023 Interesting to see what reception Vardy gets. He ascended to godlike status for the Wednesday fans I know after that goal and shithousing in front of Sheff United's kop end.

You can watch it on Now TV or the sky sports app apparently, although I’ve not worked out how to do this…

Maresca would have to be on the sideline telling players to calm down. We just do not get ourselves in these positions to see this play out.

LVFox Posted 29 November 2023 Posted 29 November 2023 I'd make a few changes for this one, West Brom at weekend will be really tricky. Hermansen Ricardo Faes Coady Justin Winks Praet KDH Fatawu. McAteer Vardy 2

Prior to that he was rigid again and rarely brought anything about. Didn't help many of his runs were ignored or overhit
Wakeyfox Posted 29 November 2023 Posted 29 November 2023 Is the railway pub on the A61 still sound for away fans?

Certainly deserved an assist on Saturday that Vardy pumped over the bar. He was great Saturday when we turned up the pace.
