Not looking great for Selby, have called it for a while now but has pretty much confirmed if he doesn’t perform at the Worlds then he’s done.

 

Must be infuriating to be that good at a sport but just not able to do it consistently anymore.

 

Obviously has a lot more on his mind now and nothing to prove so let’s hope he just goes out and enjoys it at Sheffield because for some long it’s looked like a chore for him

 

Cmon Mark one last push

Higgins stated the same thing last night, that the World Championships could be his last. 
 

Could be a frustrated knee-jerk reaction from both, we have seen it many times with Snooker players threatening retirement, but we’ll be seeing soon enough what their mindset will be like at the Worlds. 
 

Numerous of the over 40’s seem to be fighting with the game atm, but in Higgins & Selby’s cases, the lack of winning events seems to be really frustrating them atm. Selby has had such a yo-yo season, while Higgins has actually played some really good Snooker at times, but can’t seem to win an event. 
 

With their Crucible pedigree though, they could easily find something in Sheffield, with one of them lifting the trophy again by the end of it.

The older he gets, the more in his own league he is.

Pretty amazing BUT abit embarrassing  for the other players really.

He could easily carry on til he's 50🤣

For Ronnie it was always his mentality, it is stronger than ever and he wants to win. Had he had this attitude in his early years he would be on far more titles.

More like 60, he's almost 50 now and still number 1 in the world, this despite not playing all tournaments which means he misses ranking points.

William's doing exactly what you have to do to have a chance in beating Ronnie.

Not be intimidated.

Take your chances when Ronnie's  getting frustrated.

 

This should be an epic last session.
