We’ve only had two players “better” than him in our entire history. Kante and Vardy. Insane that all three came along at the same time. Legend. X

That's subjective Kante was never here long enough for me. Despite accepting he was a freak of nature and. For me Vardy gets legend status for longevity but has Mahrez stuck around for a decade there would have been a hell of a debate to be had.

I kind of agree. But I couldn’t place him above Kante in terms of actual ability. To me Kante is the best player to have ever played in his position when at his peak. And Vardy is, well, Vardy. It make me feel dirty inside to claim anyone is better than him. But aye, Mahrez was a phenomenon.

For what he has achieved for leicester it's Vardy. But as a player to watch Mahrez is the best I have ever seen play at Leicester including opposition players

Mahrez was superb loved watching him. But the greatest player I’ve seen play at Leicester is George Best. Made Mahrez look like Soumare

Weller has to start!

I know. Not sure where to play him. Midfield, I  suppose. Who would play alongside him?

Imagine he’s sat in one of the many rooms in his Saudi mansion with a warm tear in his eye just reminiscing about the club that took him out of football no man’s land and all the encouragement shown from our supporters tens years ago..

Different era. Fitness levels and athleticism of modern players would overwhelm 60s players. Pitch conditions, however...

George best was probably in the greatest too10 of all time with today’s conditions would be unstoppable. Only players to compare with him in my opinion would be Di Stefano Pele Maradona Cruyff maybe Messi

Look at the quality of turf the modern player plays on! It’s practically a professional golfing green. Players could play bare foot even it feel so smooth and flat.

i look at the pics of the turf maradona, pele and best played on and it amazed me they had such mastery of the ball when any one of us would just trip up from running on that lumpy mud soaked ditch. Don’t forget the modern player gets so much protection from the ref and laws of the game. Damn the tackling that happened in the 60’s & 70’s was horrific!

I said all that but once every so often an incredibly gifted player is born and is simply unstoppable. Mahrez was born to play. From the gritty streets of the Paris suburbs to icy pitches in Scotland than coming to us. The guy was supremely confident in his abilities and fearless. If you’ve not seen the video of on him do the blind folded two footed ball roll forwards and backwards you must! It’s freakin amazing and equally hilarious when you try to do it. You will marvel how on earth he does it. Magician indeed

In a 4231:

Mahrez McAllister Weller

                Vardy

Not 100% wedded to Gary Mac as no.10. But he edges out Sammels, Draper & Maddison for me…

Weller’s in the Albrighton role

At least an action man can’t go awol once, let alone THREE times and sit in an airport desperate for a phone call from Man U or Barcelona!

There are some people with very short memories.
