Returning to this topic of general ticket sales being unable to the public. Again last nights game against Swansea, and the 28,000 attendance, ( 12% below full capacity attendance) shows City are not fulfilling their attendance potential. Not rocket science is it that had general ticket sales been available there would probably have been around 30,000 plus there. Leicesters policy is unfair to the people who are being ostracised by this policy. It may not mean that much in revenue to the club but think of grassroots supporters who(for whatever reason ) , are unable to attend regularly ( I live overseas and only get back rarely but would love to be able to buy tickets when I return) . Sad state of affairs😢

They may be coming round then, but giving none or very little notice ( they have a good idea beforehand or what games will be sell outs) shows a total lack of foresight and not caring for overseas fans and fans who would have to travel long distance to see the Foxes. I was in Leicester last year and tried to get a Ā ticket for the home game with Plymouth, I went down in person, and was told I could not unless I shelled out for membership. I explained that I could only attend a couple of games a year due to living overseas.. no joy at all. I do not mind the idea of shelling out a few quid for membership, but it’s more the principle of the thing. ( I probably spent 4 times the amount on city goods than on membership in the club shop that morning). My mind harked back to the halcyon days of deciding an hour before if we were going ā€œ down the cityā€ …. Days long gone, times of course change, but not always for the better!

The biggest problems with last nights gate:

Ā

A cold Tuesday night. Plenty of parents reluctant to take their kids on a school night. Fair enough. People still feeling the pinch from Christmas and living costs.Ā
Ā

The annoying thing for me is, tickets could've been so much cheaper for a game like this. An extra few thousand fans in if kids are a quid when purchased with an adult ticket. One of the most basic marketing strategies you could ever need. Instead seats were just sat there empty with a moot atmosphere.Ā

Ticket prices (match by match) need to be reduced dramatically.

Hopefully, this will not be happening going forward. Games where tickets are available should be made public.

KPFC are all about the community mate so not sure they would ever overchargeĀ

What's the average away attendance at the KP . Obviously this match was well below that.Ā  So was the home attendance really that much below the norm.

There were seats everywhere. If the attendance was 28000 it means that ST holders that don't show are still counted as attending.

I took a mate last night coz my lad lives in London & can't get back midweek for Champs games, my mate loved last night and was a season ticket for 12 years till the Levein era, really reignited his Leicester interest & he would really struggle to get a ticket with history Or a membership etc.

Turn Ups are probably the future of the club & fanbase in 5,10,20 years IF they are young.

And we want to expand the stadium to 40K??

I thought the club was running a business, happy to turn down 1 or 2 thousand extra that are happy to pay??Ā  Interesting business model.

My old man paid £47 per person for my sister and two of her friends. not far off £150 to watch us on a Tuesday night home to Swansea!

Haha. Could not log onto the website or watch any club related video without the massive advertising banner saying 'GENERAL SALE TICKETS AVAILABLE FOR BIRMINGHAM AND SWANSEA'

If people are actively looking, the more casual fan or bloke whose kids are interested won't be.

Ā

The club only ever do digital marketing because it's easier to track. A big direct mail campaign throughout the county would be pretty cheap (for them) and a great way to build the mailing list.

Ā

They're complacent because we won the lottery on the pitch 8 years ago and our group is currently too small.

That is ridiculous pricing. A ST works out OK for the cheaper areas. I think mine comes in around £19 a game. However, on a match by match basis, my ticket would be between £36-39 which is almost double. On top of possibly membership fees which depending how many games a person goes could easily be between £2-5 on top. So a non-STH could be looking at match ticket prices of £38-£44 for the cheaper tickets.

Ā

Match ticket prices should be reduced by at least 25% for members. You could have something like this based on my example:

Ā

Ā£19 a game for STH (average)

Ā£28 a game for members

Ā£32 a game for non-members

Ā

That way it gives members a discount over those without membership (currently the membership gives no monetary benefit).

They are. The seat is sold regardless of if anyone is sitting in it. Partly it was only 28k as Swansea only sold 300 of their 2 or 3000 allocation.

Ā

Last night wasn't the best match to be a representative sample of needing general sale, issues stated above, mid-week, difficult if you're not local, late for families, just after Christmas etc. I'm sure all of our mid-week games have been about 30k, but the opposition have brought 2000.

Ā

Just checked, the Millwall game was 28k, the others have been just over 30k, but Ipswich, Sunderland and PNE had good away support.

Absolutely this.

Ā

It's a four hour round trip for me and my two kids but we did it for the Birmingham cup game because it was £35 for the three of us to get in.

Ā

Last night would have been nearly £80 so we didn't bother but if it was £35 again, we'd probably have made the trip.

Just paid 56 quid for me and the lad to go to the Shef Weds game.Had to give my season ticket up 3 months ago due to moving(house still ain't built!)....you don't know how good you have it until you've not got a ST.Match day tickets are extortionate!

It was on general sale last night. The next hurdle is the fact that the tickets are available is hardly advertised, and after 10 or more years of no tickets being available casual fans have given up looking.

You think putting it on general only so close to the game is a decent amount of time to buy?

Ā

Also the ST prices are super low compared to matchday.

It wasn't long back we would struggle to get 20,000 for a Tuesday night game. They'd have been aboutĀ 18,000 there for a match like this last time we were in the Championship if the away team brought 100 fans. Come a long way if we're moaning it's not completely full.

Ā

The main issue is the club not giving a shit when the demand outweighed the capacity. Then making games like last night £36. Piss takers.

Can we just give a lifetime ban for anyone who leaves before the whistle blows especially if your reasoning is the 'beat the traffic'...beat the traffic for what? Absolute weirdos! It's a concept I can not begin to understand!
