Some people were sucked in again by him having a decent game for once

Back to his level for the next 10-15 games

Just sh1t. At least skipp runs around and tries to get some blocks in even if he isn't very good.  Soumare was a total passenger.  I just don't want to see him again.

He's the symbol of our decline unfortunately, huge money, rarely looked like being a success and still here.

This 100%.

Yet this thread remains relatively quiet and Skipp gets 5x as much abuse.

Bouba has hopefully played himself out of any upcoming starting 11’s.

I honestly think a massive part of some players not wanting to play at this level, apart from the obvious, is how much it exposes they were never the level they pretended.

It's a lot easier to be a player like Soumare in a top team in France with the style of player he is. Get the blocks and tackles in in a team with quality around him. But it's exposed to what he is when he's that level lower.

Now he's played a few games at this level to this standard his stock will never be as high as it was. If he got a move to a top division somewhere like Turkey in summer, his CV says Ligue 1, Premier League and La Liga. Someone will always take a punt on that. Now he's another we are lumbered with until his contract expires.

The more I think of it, it’s clear that his agent was in his ear ahead of the Birmingham game. There were 3 days of the window left and I’m sure they expected some interest if he performed well.

It didn’t come, and he played on Saturday like he didn’t want to be there. Winks and James in CM for me - then Skipp, Choudhury, Page, Tea lady, Soumare.

How dare you put tea lady and Soumare in the same sentence.

Tea lady is busy and useful

Really don't understand what this guy brings.

He doesn't really tackle. Wouldn't really describe him as a tower of strength.

Almost never in a good position or stance to receive the ball and progress it.

Today can't even make a simple 5 yard pass.

It's been the same since he arrived. Who knows what he actually does. He's neither an attacking or defensive midfielder.

Just takes up space.

He doesn’t bring anything. Runs like he is running on hot and in bare feet.

There was a simple pass on to Abdul in the first half and Bouba lazily played it (under zero pressure) behind him.

He’s a combination of lazy and a bit dumb IMO.

I’m very critical of Bouba but technically you can see why he gets the nod, he’s like a player at Sunday league level who is clearly better than everyone else but half the time, they can’t be arsed to try.

Frustrating as he has all of the characteristics of a good CM but will never reach those levels will he?

The same with Monga.  He got the ball and jogged forward with it, Monga was running in space and he passes the ball behind him so Monga has to stop and turn around.

Everything he does is useless. Puts so much pressure on other players by passing blindly to them or making them shift out of position.  Happy to send the ball back under no pressure for the back to suddenly come against a press.

Him and Thomas stink out the left hand side.

Quite surprised with the reaction on here today. I thought Soumare played well. Found lots of space, took the ball on the half turn and played positively. 🤷🏻‍♂️

He's just so bloody slow though. Even a couple of seconds waiting to pass the ball seems like a long time. Infuriating.

Thought he was OK today. Seemed to be more positive with the ball 2nd half. Unfortunately he can't make a poor pass or he's immediately had a bad day at the office!
