Why is this all going t### up ?

From a comfortable 17 point lead only a matter of months ago, we're now clearly going to be in a 3 team slugfest for the final two positions.

What's happened ? Is it :

Tactics

Lack of confidence

Bad luck 

Too much chopping and changing

Too much fortune in early games

Bad management 

Something else 

or a combination of all of those things ?

We weren’t playing particularly well even when we were winning let’s be honest. Early in the season we were all talking about how we’d been grinding out results and getting lucky while not playing well. We had a good purple patch before Xmas but our luck ran out now I think, but it’s really just a reversion to the mean of the luck we used up early in the season.

The board, missed chances, stubbornness, no plan B, players not turning up, lack of balls. Etc etc … that Leeds result was always going to come back and **** us

I think it's the players more than Enzo. They're not doing their jobs.

A bit of everything.

 

Early in the season we were making changes in the Creative 4 positions (No 8's & Wingers) which after tiring teams down created a lot of late goals and goals from substitutions, Enzo no longer trusts the players on the bench. 

Whether it is the lack of competition or the lack of fresh legs late on... I don't know, but it is seriously hurting us.

 

Again we look like a team that is not just lacking confidence, but lacking fight. We expect to easily win matches and expect goals and wins just to come to us and we are not fighting for it. The front 5 are clearly lacking confidence.

 

Teams are learning how to turn us around and create chances against us, they have learned our system and know no matter what we won't change. 

 

We now have the extra problem of us creating headlines off the pitch. It is starting to look more than just saving the season, but saving the club, we don't get promoted then the club is in serious trouble financially and the weight of this burden is looking like it will crush our players

The style of play pure and simple. Every team we play now knows exactly what to expect and how to counter us. It started with Leeds at KP and since most teams have had a plan against us and we have offered no alternative.

There's a lot of truth to this and it's an uncomfortable one I think we were all avoiding. How many times did we hear there's another gear?

 

If we do **** this up then I put the blame solely on Enzo.

We only have one way of playing and it’s clear the players no longer have faith in it .

Slow build up and predictable. Bang  average sides are beating us . 

We will finish 4th and lose out in the play offs 

With the EFL waiting to dock points and the few quality players on the way out, prepare for another relegation next year .

I don't think it will be a 3 team slugfest. At this current form and tactics that have been clearly found out

Thinking that we were too good for this league and we only had to turn up to games to win them.  You can understand that kind of due to our start, but like I've said many times before, we did all of that without looking convincing at any point. 

 

It was always going to come unstuck at some time.

Perhaps players with an eye on playing for a different club next season. Perhaps all the back office bullshit that’s going on the FFP or whatever it’s now called. Doesn’t help that Enzo only has one style.

 body language of the players even getting off the coach today was poor,  no one was talking to each other on the pitch. I’d bring Coady in as he can’t be worse than the current back 2 as of now plus he can show his leadership skills that everyone goes on about.

All started the FA cup win over Bournemouth a month ago with a spirited performance. 

 

Not been seen since as Enzo sticks to his favourite lineup regardless of how they perform.

 

Those players are probably pissed off.

The club is being run shambolically and it looks like the players have switched off
