We weren’t playing particularly well even when we were winning let’s be honest. Early in the season we were all talking about how we’d been grinding out results and getting lucky while not playing well. We had a good purple patch before Xmas but our luck ran out now I think, but it’s really just a reversion to the mean of the luck we used up early in the season.

Scrappy wins earlier in the season.

Wins off the back of the squad having fight/being up for it, not Enzo’s tactics. Mavididi has dropped off massively this year, Fatawu hasn’t been the same since the red card at Cov. KDH awol of late too.

1. Injuries to Ndidi and Ricardo came at a bad time.

2. Winks' form seems to have dipped alot.

3. Opposition teams nullifying the threat of our wingers.

4. Missing too many chances.

5. Bad luck.

6. Things happening off the pitch doesn't create a good feeling around the club.

Nack all to do with our Managers inadequacies then?

The style of play pure and simple. Every team we play now knows exactly what to expect and how to counter us. It started with Leeds at KP and since most teams have had a plan against us and we have offered no alternative.

Bang on the money. We're just to easy to predict.

We've been found out.

Now the moment, literally the moment, we were "found out" after our title win, we immediately ripped it up and went down the road of becoming a possession based team by instruction of powers that be at the head of this club, we've never mastered it, we've always been found out playing this way, it's rarely successful in the long run and we still persist with it. It's too easy to play against. When are we gonna try something different?

I fear this might not be too far off

And it will continue being so all the while the likes of Rudkin and Whelan are there. Rudkin is clearly out of his depth at this level of directorship and I would question Whelans football knowledge credentials, award winning businesswoman or not. But at the end of the day the book stops with Top.

I think it's the players more than Enzo. They're not doing their jobs.

Yet it’s Enzo who persists with “said same players”.

There is the same “no jeopardy” amongst 12/13 players knowing they won’t get hooked even if playing at 2/10 at best.

When Enzo first came he dropped Stephy but know just carries on with the same underperforming dross.

From a comfortable 17 point lead only a matter of months ago, we're now clearly going to be in a 3 team slugfest for the final two positions.

What's happened ? Is it :

Tactics

Lack of confidence

Bad luck

Too much chopping and changing

Too much fortune in early games

Bad management

Something else

or a combination of all of those things ?

Your thoughts....

It has been touched up on in other threads, but latest thread tends to win so here goes.

Trying to force a style of player on a squad not fit for it (I made a thread on it).
Directors not backing the manager in January.

The manager been stubborn on style of player (top of club likely also imposing on manager).

Arrogance that the season is done already.

Financial issues likely affecting the squad, the last game they played like they wont be here next season.

Inconsistency from the club directors, e.g. self imposing a transfer embargo (twice now) when we already breaching PSR anyway, and then deciding to not cooperate when the league starts investigating.  That is a half in half out strategy, we either comply with the rules or do a man city, not half in half out. This to me is the biggest sign there isnt an assured leadership at the club with ruthlessness and strong decision making.

Hubris. They've become so full of themselves thinking they can just knock the ball around and win matches, believing their own hype so much that they've taken their eye off the ball while other teams have been working us out.

Enzo is sulking since the Jan transfer window debacle.

Clearly we had to shift players out before we could bring any in, but we failed miserably yet again.

The mood from the manager will soon rub off on the players.

Probably true. But this is very similar to the poisonous dwarf last season.

We keep blaming the manager, but the problems are sourced at a much higher level.

Maresca yas heen Found out, simple

This is in a nutshell it. And he hasn’t got the experience to get us out of it.

He’s probably in his office asking Willy why it isn’t working anymore.

At the moment, we’re the easiest team in the league to play against.
