Very clear they’ve been allowed to play more direct at times out the back, which is adding a good dimension and work around to the way WBA are defending. Variation creating the space, like we’ve been calling for. Good to see.

I hope he proves me wrong, but Mavididi is one of those players like Iheanacho who is either on, or he’s not and you can usually tell after about 10/15 minutes which it is. Today he’s not at the races at all. 
I’d seriously consider bringing him off in games like this.
