I'd like us to be aggressive in our attempts to completely rebuild the way we operate as a football club. Which is a young and progressive squad signed for modest fees with huge potential upscale.

A wage structure that is competitive but not stupid and instead is tiered on success at the club rather than high from the off based on reputation. If that sees us miss out on certain targets then so be it, just scout better in more obscure places.

I'd like to see us tap in to the Japanese, South Korean and South American markets where there is huge gains to be made. As well as more in Scandinavia where we've had success already. Also invest more belief in to our academy and develop the talents such as Nelson, Alves and Braybrooke. They'll be excellent players within a year even at PL level.

If we get a points deduction that's too difficult to overcome then I want us to be able to go down and not gamble everything on coming straight back up, where the EFL are desperate to hammer us.

That probably means Ricardo, Justin, Daka, Soumare, KDH and even the likes of Faes need to be moved on as soon as possible to free the high wages up.

We need to be a lean mean fighting machine.

What do you think is the best choice for those 3 next season? Nelson I think should be kept around but the other 2 could do with a full season of playing every week.

Braybrooke & Alves really do feel like they’ll be special and honestly if the points deduction makes safety look impossible they might be worth keeping here. Going to be a big decision either way.

Recruitment absolutely crucial, obviously.

Not necessarily about money either - Burnley had a better Championship winning season than us, spent £100m, and have still barely put up a fight - Never mind stayed up!

There has to be good value out there. Hungry players with quality and who are desperate to succeed - Just a case of finding them!

Yeah loans if we have a 25 man squad that's got the required amount of quality. If we are lacking due to funds then keep them and blood them.

They paid 17mil for Trafford and Ramsey each, both who had only played youth football before and 19 mil on Amdouni who has scored 5.

We got Hermansen for about 6 mil. Hopefully we find better value than Burnley did.

I think you guys are all ****in mental if you don't think we'll be in a relegation scrap all season.

I do think we'll be in a relegation scrap but I genuinely think we'll score more points than Forest, Everton, Brentford, Ipswich and the play-off winner. To be honest, I would also fancy us bettering clubs like Wolves, Fulham and Bournemouth.

The trouble will be how many points will the Premier League knock off.  6 or fewer and I think we stay up. More than that and I think it'll be a tough ask.

I think the Premier League is loaded with some absolutely honking teams in some right states these days. The fact we very nearly stayed up in 22/23 shows that.

Avoid relegation on minimal clever spending to build up a financial resource to move up the league season by season.

Nailed it.

Anything above 17th next season will be a bonus.

We’ll likely have depth for a cup run too.

30 points looks like being enough to stay up this season, given we probably won't be the only ones having points deducted, and if say we get a 10 point deduction, surely getting 40 points from 38 games is an achievable target.

Ultimately staying up is enough given the points deduction, but I don't want people making out it would require some kind of miracle to achieve that. It doesn't and we should hold reasonable expectations of the club to perform well enough to catch and stay ahead of 3 teams.

With the obvious noose around our neck of an impending points deduction and the fact we've got to make pretty substantial sales before we make fairly small buys, regretfully it just has to be 17th.

Count me in as mental.

I'm not ruling it out. Too many questions for that.

But some people are being excessively negative IMO.

Not to see ‘we’ll be fine’ on every post match thread

Not seeing they will probably mean we are doing well in fairness. But it’s already on this thread a couple of times so fearing the worst where this one is concerned!

If next season will be anything like the last few, anyone in the bottom 8/9 could be in a "relegation" scrap. Make a good run, and you'd even go from relegation scrap to possible Europe place!

When you consider a possible 10 point deduction, you've gotta accept 17th place to be honest! And a slow but sustained improvement across the next 5 years with a push for Europe. That's the dream at this stage with the money in the league!

WE WILL NOT GET A 10 POINT DEDUCTION WHEN THE PENALTY FOR ADMINISTRATION IS ONLY 9 POINTS.

A quick google search states both 10 and 12 points as the penalty mush so I'd calm down.

And another tells you that the original 10 point deduction for Everton was overturned as disproportionate for exactly the reason I've stated.

Mush.
