Bazly Posted 25 May 2024 Posted 25 May 2024 Quote Rodgers “I’m so happy for Leicester I have to say. It’s a great club. Top, the owner, is absolutely amazing. And Jon Rudkin works so hard as a sporting director, while Susan Whelan oversees a lot of stuff. It was a shame the club went down. Enzo’s done a really good job in pulling them together and getting them promoted and I hope they can kick on next season.” The team going up is a lot weaker than the team going down bar the goalkeepers. If we had the 2 main keepers today, two years ago we would never have gone down and be in better shape today. I'll never forget the freezing out of defensive players under Rodgers who could have contributed in the failed season and his perseverance with one Danny 'happy to watch em fly by' Ward. Thanks for the FA Cup though. 4

Popular Post foxfanazer Posted 25 May 2024 Popular Post Posted 25 May 2024 I despise the bloke more than anyone ever associated with the club which considering we won our first ever FA cup with him shows what a despicable **** he really is. He shouldn't speak about us with anything other than embarrassment and remorse 16 1
LCFCJohn Posted 25 May 2024 Posted 25 May 2024 Like he didn’t want us to go down the ****. Particularly after he was binned, he’d have been rooting for us to go down. Imagine how he’d have worried about his ego if we had gone on to stay up under Smith. 1 1
Popular Post Dan Posted 25 May 2024 Popular Post Posted 25 May 2024 Don't think we'll ever have a manager who's best and worst were so far apart. This bloke should be borderline royalty here given he actually won the FA Cup and yet hardly anybody likes him, myself included. Classic of the genre with him though isn't it. He's clever with his words. Word it in such a way so that it seems he had nothing to actually do with our relegation. He tanked the season and that combined with our cretinous board who were either too daft to see it or too weak to act on it put us down. We've gone back up but still go into the season in the weakest position we've entered a season since 2014/15 - infact I'd argue it's probably weaker than that all considered. 12

Terrible manager 1 1
Dahnsouff Posted 25 May 2024 Posted 25 May 2024 (edited) He might as well have said “It was awful, like watching a car crash in slow motion, I really felt for them” willy puller Edited 25 May 2024 by Dahnsouff
Popular Post Corky Posted 25 May 2024 Popular Post Posted 25 May 2024 We basically made him bigger than the club. He returned the favour by publicly talking the club and his squad down. 22/23 was the biggest disgrace of a season in our history. 15 1

Daggers Posted 25 May 2024 Posted 25 May 2024 (edited) It’s odd, I don’t really bear much malice towards Holloway for his stint with us whereas the bile I reserve for Rodgers is nigh-on bottomless. I’d celebrate if he met severe misfortune - like a full party. Absolutely loathe him like no other ever connected with the club. Edited 25 May 2024 by Daggers 3 1
honeybradger Posted 25 May 2024 Posted 25 May 2024 Hopefully he keeps the club out of his mouth in the future. It's best for us to move on and forget him, I really dont want to be reminded of his time here by him popping up in the media to talk about us every few years.

FoyleFox Posted 25 May 2024 Posted 25 May 2024 It wasn't "a shame", it was an absolute fckking travesty that the squad we had were relegated. And that is on Brendan, jumped up little ****. Yes, I know the Board should've acted sooner, but you just know they were blindsided by his smarmy drivel and conned by his word salad speeches. Not one ounce of accepting responsibility or humility from him. It's the attitude that riles me. He's an absolute, utter c0ckwomble. As said above, he should be held in good regard for the FA Cup but, I can't get past all of the other negatives and the fact that he's set us back at least 5 years, after all the hard work and progress made. I can forgive other managers who have overseen relegation, where the reality was that we really just weren't good enough. I will never, ever forgive Brendan. 3
Haywood_6 Posted 25 May 2024 Posted 25 May 2024 Sorry but he's such a bellend reading that actually makes my skin crawl.
Fear Of The Fox Posted 25 May 2024 Posted 25 May 2024 I'm relieved he didn't mention my name regarding relegation.
An Away Move Posted 25 May 2024 Posted 25 May 2024 (edited) This guy is worse and has done more damage than Peter Taylor to us. I feel like the FA Cup was more in despite of him than his doing too. I loathe everything about him. Edited 25 May 2024 by An Away Move 3 1

Rodgers is a bastard. What he did that season was so disgraceful I don’t think we’ll ever see someone treat a football club like that ever again. Edited 25 May 2024 by Mickyblueeyes 3 2 1

Absolute race to the bottom. I keep banging this point but the way Brighton have just shook hands with De Zerbi, a manager who's stock is very high (rightly or wrongly) because he reverted to being pretty mediocre with them. Self-respect. Belief in yourself to take any hit. That's why they will eventually get there. We should embrace that sort of attitude again. 2
Legend_in_blue Posted 25 May 2024 Posted 25 May 2024 The biggest shame is that he wasn't here until the end to see it happen for himself. Total fraud.
