He was a player on my radar as a potential Vestergaard replacement, but had a feeling he’d prove far too expensive, £30-£40 million range has been floated around for him in recent months. 
 

Him or Boscagli from the Eredivisie would be absolutely perfect for us.

Well a good manager wouldn't select players that suit their tactics; selects a tactic that suits their players.

sorry my man, but that’s an outdated idea. All managers bring their preferred tactic with them and buy players to suit their style.

He's got 4 years on his contract. At a pound a year that's still too rich for us.

 

Surely this can only be done on a loan to buy deal.

Crazily enough though, maybe deals like that ARE possible for us. If we pay a season-long loan fee, even if we get relegated, if the player shows his class there could be a big money move for him from someone else in the league. Why would Feyenord want to do a deal like that is the question, but sometimes clubs have another player waiting in the wings. Banks and Shilton is a famous example that happened right here at Leicester!

Monday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo says Liverpool, Leicester City and Atlético Madrid are in the picture to sign the centre-back in the summer window.
 

The report focuses on the La Liga side’s interest in the 26-year-old, and towards the end, they mention Liverpool and Leicester.
 

Diego Simeone’s side are making progress in their pursuit of Real Sociedad’s Robin Le Normand, and they are looking to sign another centre-back. This is where Hancko fits in, as per Marca.

 

Mundo relay that and then give their own take on the Slovakia international. It’s claimed the defender is valued at €35m, but Los Rojiblancos idea is to sign him for a lower price.

 

It won’t be easy for Atlético because the defender’s performances has seen other clubs, including Liverpool and Leicester, show interest in securing his signature

Mundo say they have found out that the Reds and the Foxes have asked about Hancko.

 

Slot managed Hancko at the Eredivisie side, and it needs to be seen whether this can give Liverpool an advantage over Leicester and Atlético in the transfer race.
