I know who I’d rather see coming off the bench if we are either protecting a lead or chasing the game but fairs fair he does deserve a start.

Issue is we do need to give Bilal game time in the 10 position in order for him to settle and is Facundo better drifting in from the right than as a 10?

The problem with this, as the first half highlighted is that then we have no right wing and two players getting in the way of each other.

Just play the better players in their best position from the start.  Coopers formation is what doesn’t work and then the player selection is second. Players like Mav and Fatawu can frustrate the opposition, Soton had about 4 players on yellows in the first half.

Cooper isn’t playing some 4d chess that no other manager can see. He leaves our right side open and unprotected.

He honestly wouldn't be out of place at Man City or Real Madrid.

He's the real deal.

Very technically gifted.

Top class player just needs to work on his decision making at times and look for the right pass/cross. Was phenomenal yesterday and aside from his amazing technical ability, his work rate and defensive work is also brilliant. And he's also a really likeable guy.

He's still very young and like all flair players, he'll have amazing games and some games where he doesn't do a lot.

Crazy how many times he's hit the post/bar since he's been here.

People were saying that last season when he broke the championship big chances created in a season record by 50%.....

This is it imo

He’s young and everyone tells you that young players are more prone to inconsistency

We saw enzo leave him out on occasions last season.   We saw him come into a game and have a big impact and then the following match he’d start and sometimes be quite meh

so the challenge for him is to hold his form and make sure he keeps his place on n e he’s knocked the door down (as he’s now done)

the challenge is for cooper to work out how to play both wide men within his pragmatic systems

He'll be more of a goal threat when not being tasked with staying so wide like last season.

Between them Fatawu and Buonanotte had 21 PL starts before this season, ability isn't derived from experience

His decision making is the very thing that sets him apart from most wingers his age. It's generally excellent. It's actually when he's being more unselfish that it's not great as there's times when you wish he would run with the ball more.

The Leeds one would have instantly been one of my top 5 all time favourite goals.

In thinking more when he skies shots into the stand. Sometimes his shooting can be great and he's been unlucky with some that have hit the woodwork but he sometimes needs to ensure he's in the right position to take a shot

Very technically gifted.

Physically, he’s unbelievably gifted. I can’t remember many players at the club with physical attributes that can match his. He’s rapid, explosive, jumps sky high, agile, and has great stamina.

Technically, though, he can be a bit hit-or-miss.

To be honest, though, even can Ronaldo and other talented wingers..

Football is a fine margins game, and even those at the top of the game can't get it right all of the time.

Rudkin really needs a bit of respect and plaudits for getting him, Bilal and the guy from Brighton - players who am very sure Chelsea, Man City would want in their side.

I think his technique lets him down when he rushes things. In time i'm sure he'll go to the top because he has everything. Just needs to learn the game.

The previous record of 'big chances created' in the Championship was 23.... fatawu destroyed that, turning up a few games into the season. I think he is technically pretty good....

Who said he wasn’t good technically? He’s decent, but it’s not his main strength by a long shot. His crossing to the back post can be frustrating, and for all his worldies and great attempts last season, so many went into orbit.

It’s obvious that his main assets are physical. Take that out of his game, and he could hardly be described as a technician.

Gah! I'd only just got used to using the name 'Goodnight'.

I think we need to drop this 'Goodnight' moniker.  It's a bit too much like a romantic pet name, like sweetcheeks or something.  Anyway, Goodnight will always be Britt Ekland in The Man With The Golden Gun.

Never liked Little Cabbage or Timmy Chestnuts either.  Can we have less camp nicknames in future please?

Edit - Oh yes, this is the Fatawu thread.  Fine player.  Carry on.

Do you prefer people failing to spell his actual name remotely like how it is spelt? :)
