Such a shame for Stolarczyk, we really cannot sell Mads under any circumstances now imo

I assume that if we sell mads then we buy a replacement

I wasn’t expecting us to just revert to Jakub or Danny

Always going to run the risk that the replacement is a stinker and Ward gets another go

Where is iversen ? I know he is linked with a move away but surely better than Ward ?

We can't keep paying wages for 4 senior keepers, I has to go and nobody is buying Ward.

Even though the naming is apt, I'm not sure I am comfortable with Ward being number 2 for 6 months. Would either keep Iversen or look to get a freebie in as backup.

Yeah I get that but we are paying him so until he goes he has to be back up.

Iversen's wages will be significantly less costly than playing Danny Ward in the Premier League.

Vardy is going to pick up knocks all season. He can't be our number 1 striker.

Ward is clearly happy to see out his contract here and be back up, Iversen probably less so.

How often does a number 2 play.

Depends on the number 1s availability. We needed our backup keeper plenty in 2014/15, got through so many in League One that we were almost down to Danny Ward quality keepers.

14 Prem teams last season used 2 or more keepers where the 2nd keeper played in 5 or more league games

That's a real shitter. I really like Stolarczyk. We're strong in goal, Hermansen is very good and he's not a million miles behind him but with Stolarczyk out that means we're precariously reliant on Hermansen. Ward doesn't even bare thinking about. I'd probably hold onto Iversen now as crap as it probably is for him.

Madds is gonna need max protection now!

cannot must not afford to lose him at any cost the precarious situation we are in.

i wanna know wtf ward has been doing this whole time the club been paying his entire wages? Can he get intensive GK coaching to make him better and less calamity prone. Surely he wasn’t this bad at Liverpool?

make him earn his cash even if he’s not getting game time. Play him in the reserves relentlessly so that atleast he’s half decent ‘if’ we need him in an emergency.

Not an over reaction but if Ward played 5 games thats almost certain relegation. Hes even worse than he was when he got us relegated and he would cost us all 5 games he played. He should be no where near the starting lineup or match day squad.

get rid of Ward on a no bids refused basis then. 10k for him and paying 90% of his wages for a year is still better than paying 100% of his wages and having him around the club

hey now, carl Penteny was never as bad as Ward, he didn't jump out of the way of 70% of shots

Wout Faes picked up an injury in his first training session back at Leicester City, but it won’t stop him from travelling to the club’s camp in Germany.

Teams very quickly adopted a shoot on sight policy when Ward was in goal.

The clearest example was Chilwell lining up that volley for two or three seconds, everyone in the stadium could see him lining it up except for Ward,  who instead was busy organising his defence.

Chilwell didn't really connect but, as per pre match instructions no doubt, so long as it's on target it has helluva chance of going in.
