We have plenty of experience throughout the whole squad already though

 

Our starting 11 against Spurs had 993 premier league appearances between them all

 

That is without including other players in the squad like Ricardo and Coady who have another 345 Prem appearances between them

 

Then we have just signed Skipp who has another 77 games to add on to that as well

 

Do we really need anymore older experienced players?

This is a very fair point. You can't argue he's an upgrade to the squad, something that we have sorely needed. If we stay up and this fella bags a couple of goals to win us the odd game/get us a draw, the fee will soon be forgotten.

We were doing this a year ago as well. We were taking punts on these types of players, such as Fatawu and Hermansen - two players with 0 minutes of PL experience before the other night who ended up being two of our best players in that game.

 

We already have a lot of PL experience - as much as basically anybody who has ever been promoted. We really don't need to pay a premium to get more of it.

 

This is Rudkinomics at its finest and Cooper's recruitment is a huge red flag to me as well. He got a free pass from basically everybody because Marinakis is a cretin but it's pretty obvious already he had more to do with it than made out.

 

The fact Rudkin has just caved into this as well. We've learnt literally nothing.
