And it seems you have done little to back that up with publicly available info. Unfortunately it isn't me who is going to have the bad day - what's happened today doesn't directly affect me. Or bad few years/decades. At first, anyway.

 

Pardon me for considering those outside of line of sight spatially and temporally.

 

But anyway, I wish I shared some optimism about the future based on the events of today, I just don't see any presenting any that holds up to logical scrutiny.

But that's not how challenge works. If you express an extreme opinion and admonish, belittle, degrade, discredit and demean others for voting Trump, on a daily basis btw, expect to be challenged on it. Surely if you are telling people the world will end, you can't get defensive when someone asks you exactly how and why? Challenge happened many times on the covid thread and also to Tom G on the budget thread, despite him having years of experience in a small business!!!!

You have actively made a decision to put yourself above the parapet and you are aiming to influence people, not me.

My own position has been made clear throughout, I am base case on both candidates because Harris presented little to no detail on what she would do and I believe Trump is so dumb he will fulfil none of his pledges.

Exactly, hence my earlier posts. If you're telling me the world will end, I expect robust detail. If you don't have that, your viewpoint is statistically insignificant.

I of course welcome all opinions, but presenting something as a fact with no backing, not so much

It’s the result they would prefer but ‘pleased’ is probably a bit of a stretch.  They will now be forced to come to a settlement and it won’t be for what they would want. Zelensky knows that a deal has to be done - he is just trying to force the middle ground as far in Ukraine’s direction as he can.

WI was 50/49

GA wa 51/49

NC was 51/48

MI is 50/48

 

its v close and all within expected tolerance 

all pundits said that it could just as easily be 271/269 and 310/230
