I am enthusiastic about the fact that we are going to be staying up at the end of this season! You miserable farkers can cry in your beer or hang yourselves because of your doom and gloom but let the rest of us get behind the manager and the players. We have been spoilt at this club with the success we've had. You don't realise how good we have had it! Forest, Notts County, Derby, Coventry, Birmingham, Villa and Wolves would love a fraction of the joy that we have had in the last 20 years. If the negative cvnts don't like it why don't they go and support MAN City or Chelsea?

Crickey, no disrespect to your post as everyone is entitled to their opinions, what I would say its posts and attitudes like this, that keep under performing DOFs in post.

Do you honestly see a future with Steve Cooper at the helm? Do you not think there are better managers available to us?

Such as who? If Cooper left right now who is better that is available? We tried to get Potter and could get it done.

Moyse? I'd bet he'd keep us up but those moaning about Cooper's tactics would hate Moyes.

I'm genuinely asking, I have no attachment to Cooper if we could get a better manager I'd do it tomorrow I'm just not convinced we can

We conducted the last manager search (which really did not seem very expansive) when we were faced with a looming points deduction. The pool of managers who would consider us has now dramatically expanded.

How does that work?

ROGER SCHMIDT

KASPER KJULMAND

SERGIO CONCEICAO

NIKO KOVAC

DIEGO MARTINEZ

All these are available, I believe, and would IMO be an upgrade on SC.

Mrs Doubtfire would be an upgrade on Steve Cooper.

Or how about we perhaps don’t **** things up again, despite making a near £600m in transfer fees? In some cases negativity is justified, and I think that warrants a negative outlook.

And how do you know we’re staying up? We’ve not even played ten games, we could quite easily lose the next two….

Yeah, we could all 'jump around', then

36 shots conceded against Arsenal and should have lost by more than 4, spurs should have been out of sight by half time, Aston Villa had chances. It's not his tactics, it's down to pure lucky and a very good keeper. Bournemouth had opportunities to win, and we haven't had a corner in 2 games! We also didn't have a shot in the second half on Saturday.

He's not learnt very much at all, as the same mistakes are being made game after game.

Don't take this the wrong way, but we have more premier league team that you did when you came up. We have players that have played in Europe recently....and for us!!

Are we not reaching our full potential because it's a new group of players under a new manager learning a new way of playing? Was a popular theory on here last season 😄

Dunno what the £600m stuff has to do with anything really. That’s over nearly a decade, we spent heavily to keep good players at the club happy and well paid, we bought lots of good players, which we then sold on, spent on the training ground and land for ground expansions etc. Yeah we overspent on wages and wasted money on players, but show me a club outside of Man City that’s not wasted hundreds of millions on players. We messed up, we all know that but few clubs escape that at some point as nobody is faultless.

Was that when we won 6 of our first 7 league games and had a clear identity that everyone could see?

Enzo’s style wasn’t for everyone but let’s not make up stories just because you don’t want to let yourself believe you deserve better than Steve Cooper.

The owners want to be back where we were which wasn't surviving, they recognise surviving is the first step to getting back where we were. They sacked Puel while mid table, if there comes a time when Cooper has taken us as far as he can they will have no hesitation to get rid. I'd be surprised if he was here this time next year.

It was a different owner when we sacked Puel. His son doesn’t seem as ruthless

How do you think we're staying up on the back of allowing the most shots against us and having the fewest shots/shots on target? That's just blind faith based on nothing. It's not even a case of people being miserable, this team is playing with the handbrake on

I am happy to see the back of Cooper, but let's get someone lined up to replace him first with some creativity and plan.

I don't want a caretaker for a month while we futz about.

This man is going to keep us in the Premier league next season. Let's take one step at a time.
