It’ll be interesting to see how he does away from home with you - seems like you’ve been competitive so far 36 shots conceded against Arsenal and should have lost by more than 4, spurs should have been out of sight by half time, Aston Villa had chances. It's not his tactics, it's down to pure lucky and a very good keeper. Bournemouth had opportunities to win, and we haven't had a corner in 2 games! We also didn't have a shot in the second half on Saturday. He's not learnt very much at all, as the same mistakes are being made game after game. Don't take this the wrong way, but we have more premier league team that you did when you came up. We have players that have played in Europe recently....and for us!! You miserable farkers can cry in your beer or hang yourselves because of your doom and gloom but let the rest of us get behind the manager and the players. We have been spoilt at this club with the success we've had. You don't realise how good we have had it! Forest, Notts County, Derby, Coventry, Birmingham, Villa and Wolves would love a fraction of the joy that we have had in the last 20 years. If the negative cvnts don't like it why don't they go and support MAN City or Chelsea? Crickey, no disrespect to your post as everyone is entitled to their opinions, what I would say its posts and attitudes like this, that keep under performing DOFs in post. 1
fox_favourite Posted 6 October 2024 Posted 6 October 2024 Oh and I'm not being harsh to judge him for the Forest link, that isn't an issue for me. I'm judging what I see week in week out. 1

Do you not think there are better managers available to us? 1

The pool of managers who would consider us has now dramatically expanded.

In some cases negativity is justified, and I think that warrants a negative outlook. And how do you know we’re staying up? We’ve not even played ten games, we could quite easily lose the next two….

Gubbins Posted 6 October 2024 Posted 6 October 2024 Are we not reaching our full potential because it's a new group of players under a new manager learning a new way of playing? Was a popular theory on here last season 😄 1

Dunno what the £600m stuff has to do with anything really. That’s over nearly a decade, we spent heavily to keep good players at the club happy and well paid, we bought lots of good players, which we then sold on, spent on the training ground and land for ground expansions etc. Yeah we overspent on wages and wasted money on players, but show me a club outside of Man City that’s not wasted hundreds of millions on players. We messed up, we all know that but few clubs escape that at some point as nobody is faultless. 1

Enzo’s style wasn’t for everyone but let’s not make up stories just because you don’t want to let yourself believe you deserve better than Steve Cooper.

Kp1984 Posted 6 October 2024 Posted 6 October 2024 This manager only needs to get a win every 5 games or so and most the happy clappers will be fine with it.

They sacked Puel while mid table, if there comes a time when Cooper has taken us as far as he can they will have no hesitation to get rid. I'd be surprised if he was here this time next year. It was a different owner when we sacked Puel. His son doesn’t seem as ruthless
