Quite.

If you repeat a lie enough, enough people will believe it.

I believe you…

I say just let them all get on with it over in that part of the world.  The sooner the planet gets rid of all these “my imaginary friend is better than your imaginary friend” people, the world will be a more peaceful and better place. For all the technology and science we have going on today, some people hold on to antiquated thoughts and ideals it’s unreal

I feel that 99.9999999% of people want peace and love with their neighbours. The more people I speak to as I get older, given the opportunity to travel a bit and have a bit more wisdom than I had in the past - I tend to ask more important questions.

Humanity I believe is very forgiving and positive.

For some reason the media and people in power don't want that narrative.

I absolutely agree with this.

The trouble is, there's probably no money in peace to either the media or the people in power so the rest of us are just pawns.

Peace and tranquility doesn’t sell newspapers is what someone once said.

If only it was confined to that part of the world. It's rapidly being imported into the west hence the rise of the right across Europe.

Not sure if anyone saw any of the vice presidential debate last night? JD Vance was far more articulate and could explain more  and policy focused in 5 minutes than either Trump or Harris was in the whole debate. Whether what he said was agreeable or not is a different story. Republicans definitely have their Trump replacement. Waltz for sure got better further into the debate on topics he  felt more strongly on. They were both fully focused on attacking both of the presidential nominees, not each other which was intresting. And it was a lot more civil and respectful which I appreciated more.

This is nit-picky I know, it's to make point using hyperbole, but I'd happily wager my house that more than 0.0000001% of the worlds population are in some kind of military.

Ok, so because you're in the military doesn't necessarily mean you don't want peace, but the fastest and easiest way to achieve that is for everyone to lay down arms.

N.B. I just checked (cos I'm definitely on the spectrum lol) 0.0000001% of the world's population is 8 people. If they were the only people who didn't want peace, I think we could handle that. lol

Unfortunately not :(

Worth watching for the expression Vance made when he got fact checked about his Springfield BS, tbh.

Anyone else thinking that banning the head of the organisation designed to represent equally diplomatic relationships and greater understanding between nations isn't the best look for Tel Aviv?

Agreed.

If they seek pariahdom in the name of "doing the right thing", then that wish should be respected. There's quite a few other pariah states.

Pretty sure six of them are on the forum.

Israel and the Palestinians both want peace, it's just they disagree over what peace should look like. They both care so much about peace that they've been at war with each other in some form since 1948.
