Forest best team in like 30 years and our 2019 team is still better than their current team.

The sourest of grapes. Embarrassing.

Particularly when I don’t think there was much wrong about the decisions. Martinez had to go, and I can see why their goal was ruled out….

Their own fault for not being able to beat a shit Man United.

And their peak won't last nearly as long as ours did.

The Man United that beat us FOUR times during the season with an aggregate score of 13-3?

We deserve to be relegated for that stat alone.

By the way, Manyoo picked up just 26 points from 32 games vs teams who weren't relegated.

They could be in serious trouble next season. 🤞🤞🤞

I have wondered for years who will be the next genuinely huge name to get relegated in European football.

In Germany, it was Hamburg. In Spain, albeit about 25 years ago now, it was Atletico. In France, it was Monaco.

England is overdue a club of that stature dropping.

The three promoted teams will v likely fill the bottom three places. The PL is non competitive now because two seasons of three up dropping down means the promoted sides cannot compete.  Leeds would need their players to have a Lcfc 2016 season to avoid the drop. Burnley and sland - don’t see them having a hope.

Sorry, but that's nonsense.

The PL has been the most competitive that is has been for a decade.

We were just shit.

Yes, the odds point to that scenario at the moment.

But almost everyone is a bad transfer window or two away from being caught. If a club gets promoted, spends well and is decently managed, all bets are off. Leeds come up and do well, someone like Man Utd, Brentford, Wolves etc lose key players, go on a bad run, sack their boss and replace him poorly, it's game on.

Can't stand them, but I fancy Leeds to stay up. They're an attractive proposition, seem to have money to spare and will have a good crack at it.

Yes they need new players but they'll sort it.

I think Bournemouth will lose a few players and West Ham are doggo, Wolves will struggle without Cunha and Man U need a massive overhaul.

Man U & Tottenham having bad seasons isn’t a sign of this. The top four was the same names. And Villa and Newcastle fell into the sort of position you’d expect.

For the hype, it’s ended up as the same story as the norm

The relegation aspect of the league which is absolutely vital to the health of the pyramid system was the least competitive premier league season I can ever remember. Yes the three teams were shit but by such a distance as to be a massive concern. Look at the goal differences - Leicester -47, Ipswich -46, Southampton -60. The fourth worst goal difference was West Ham on -16. There’s an absolute chasm.

Villa yeah

Newcastle have always been up and down historically though. Only really in the 90’s were they consistent

Newcastle went years without being top flight regulars. They needed a win at Filbert Street in 1992 on the last day to avoid going down to the third tier. Villa actually did go down to the third tier for a time in the 1970s.

I'm talking clubs who have been mainstays in the first tier for donkeys years. Hamburg had been a Bundesliga club since the Bundesliga existed when they went down, for example.

It’s non competitive re jeopardy

17 clubs are effectively unafraid of relegation

I mean wolves were in it, changed their coach and comfortably eased away from trouble.

Villa complain to premier league. What about when Sheff U scored that goal that would have sent them down?

tbf you can understand them complaining about it

but I guess Karma finally came around to bite them on the arse for the Sheff Utd goal that wasnt given during the covid season

tbf both todays and that decision were ****ing awful,

the whole thing just shows the bigger issue, that the standard of officials/Var hasnt improved at all

Seems coincidental this is the 2nd season in a row this is happened.

I think the middle part to top 6 is becoming more equal but the gap to the Championship is huge and PSR is compounding it. Any team promoted like Sunderland for example will only be allowed half the loss that Wolves are allowed, utterly baffling rule. Recent Premier League teams have it a bit better but losses for each Championship season are 15 million.

I honestly dont see who falls down next year unless someone appoints Rudkin and Susan masters of calamity.

My entire family support Forest apart from me and my Dad and today’s results have been phenomenal for me.

Not only have they not qualified for the Champions League or Europa, it turns out it was actually entirely in their hands and all they had to do was muster up a home performance.

For anyone that wishes they could personally laugh at a Forest fan today, just know that I am working overtime in the family WhatsApp, calling for Nuno’s head, feigning astonishment that they couldn’t be bothered to put in a performance today to get it over the line. And I’m doing it all for you!

up the City
