Arteta had his moment and blew it, they look miles off it this season.

Yet again they don’t have an out and out goal scorer.

Man City by 10+ points.. wonder what the odds are at this point

If Arsenal don’t score it’ll be only us and Man City to have scored in every game this season.

You'll probably get decent odds as they still seem to be pricing in some FFP type punishment potential...think Man C were only about 10/1 for relegation last I checked.

Can we stop with the revisionism about how Bournemouth was supposed to be an easy 3 points for us now? They're a bloody good football team.

They beat a team with 10 men. How hard can that be

I don't remember anyone saying easy but they are the games you need to win at home to stay up.They outplayed us for large parts of the game and better finishing sees them win easily. Iraola is quietly building a good side there.

Now sure people will have their own theories as to what was going on here,

I mean usually it's said VAR tries to back up the top 6 teams so was Howard trying to make sure the defender wasn't sent off?

Just looking at Wolves, Saints and Ipswich fixtures - Wolves have had a particularly hard start and Ipswich have got Man City/Liverpool out of the way.

Wolves have Brighton next week away. But then fall into Saints & Palace. Then December is massive. If they can't collect some points there, they are done.

Ipswich's game v us is huge for them. As they have Spurs & Man U. Early December important again.

Southampton's games v Everton & Wolves are massive. Their early December is tough.

There's a lot of teams at the bottom playing each other over the coming weeks followed by a December period when it happens too. It will be important for us to do well in a couple of the December home fixtures.

What was important for us after the Arsenal game was for us to get some sort of return from the upcoming games. We’ve won both. Another positive result from the next two fixtures sees it being a really good return imo.

I think a lot of people have also glazed over that we had a really tricky start to the season too, Spurs and Villa at home, Fulham, Palace and Arsenal away, the only game where on paper you would’ve expected us to get more from our start was against Everton. Apart from Arsenal, any game we lost was by a single goal and without some dubious refereeing decisions in that game, that could’ve panned out differently.

It was an obvious pretty straight forward red card. I don't understand what the problem is. Correct decision.

I love the idea that Howard Webb is sat there like some kind of sontaran overlord, manipulating referees into making the *checks notes* correct decisions
