Today we ain't making up 9 points!!

True.  Wolves could put their feet up and not play another game.  We won't get 20 points let alone 26.

Ipswich have a net spend of £120 million, haven't won in 2025, didn't sacked McKenna who was being linked to Man U and Chelsea in the summer and yet still on the same points as us.

Just shows who hard this leaquebis is for the newly promoted teams.

I was just coming in here to say a similar thing. Just got me thinking what difference would it actually have made had we “got it right”? We’ll never know of course and it doesn’t excuse the sheer ineptitude of the whole club, but as you say it shows what a closed shop the league is now.

Probably the most ambitious part of that stadium is that one of the pictures has them 3-0 up

To be fair though that’s  when we play there.

They were league 1 once you know.

We weren’t newly promoted in 22/23 - it works both ways and we f ucked both.

I was at the Southampton Wolves game yesterday as I live that way, I hate to say it while they were getting a lot of stick off the fans, they were actually way more adventurous than us going forward and even given the points difference between us, they are actually better set up then us and probably lacking a decent striker. Based on what I saw if they can come straight back they will be better prepared for the premier next time than we will be. For us it going to take two cycles of going up and down and back, that is only if we clear out squad at the end of the season and start bringing some young players into the squad as long term development programme.

For the relegated clubs it all depends on the summer. Even last summer we came up as the better of the three and almost immediately had the gap closed by Enzo and KDH leaving.

This summer could see us and Saints looking for a new manager, plus players like Delap, Hutchinson, Dibbling, Ramsdale, Hermansen, El Khannous could all be subject to transfer activity. We won't know which of the three is best placed until the window shuts. I'd have Ipswich as favourites if deciding today, but there's a lot of change before we'll know.

Yeah £50m absolute minimum imo

We’ll contrive to get about £36m and pay £11m for Jorgensen or something equally braindead

So bad they look about 3 levels above us.
