Football clubs don't make money, they cost money. Only way to make money from them is asset stripping (like a private equity firm would do). Only people you get buy clubs knowing they'll lose money are people desperate for good PR - or those happy to lose hundreds of millions.

Exactly my point

I want someone who actually has achieved something. All 19 clubs have some sort of madness with their ownership. But being winners, they still ensure their ego means they compete. We have a loser who has achieved nothing in life and that means we suffer even more.

Would fans want what Man City have where they have extremely wealthy owners but who are totally corrupt and unethical but get success after success, or owners who have ethics and stick by rules but are a safe club but mediocre.

The problem is, there is no such thing with the money involved in football. Our current lot are as corrupt as any.

I just want us to compete.

I’d take Putin over Rudkin as DoF tbh, he’s as qualified as Rudkin is to be DoF, at least people would fear negotiating with us. Nobody is taking us up on the offer of a cup of tea at the meeting. Agents happy to just escape without “falling out” of the 10th story window, no more agents fees.

Are owners are wealthy, corrupt and unethical don’t worry about that.

Anyone but King power. I’d take Mike Ashley over top.

might not be glamorous but the club would be run properly and never breach par like we have.

Ashley obviously who I want… I want somebody to come in and run us properly with care and due diligence. Make us the club we once were and everyone envied.

ohhh it’s gone so wrong in such a short space of time and king power are to blame. Get them gone now

If the club is valued at say £200m that's about £8k per season ticket holder.

Some could afford significantly more, most much less.

£200 million was just the debt King Power wiped off into equity on the last set of accounts.

It’s likely that much deeper pockets would be needed to buy the club at this point - even with a willing sale.

Gotta be the Shipman family.

Those heady days of selling off a terraced  house we'd bought on Burnmoor Streetv-intended for the future redevelopment of the east stand - but instead flogged off to pay the leccy bill.

The Australian bank that we owe money too practically own us now anyway... but seriously.. anyone other than Top. Cheers for the good times King Power but it's over now.

But, in an ideal world.. another family similar to how KP before the tragedy. Run us the right way with a plan.

Top has to go and take rudders et al with him

tbf it wouldnt matter who we get as an owner, way FFP/PSR is, wouldnt make much difference to us

Spot on, ownership isn't the issue beyond his blind loyalty to Rudkin. Top needs hardened decision makers around him, as he's so wet behind the ears.

Top, and his father before him, have always invested in the club. His downfall is that he's not decisive enough and has entrusted that cash with a DoF who is in above his head.

If we go down with sub 30 points I think that will wake few belligerent KP holdouts up

Not sure it would.

‘We’re skint what do you expect?’

’PSR is hampering us’

’No-one wants to join us because we’lll probably go back down’

’The points deduction means we were never gonna stay up’

The excuses are already being lined up, completely ignoring those clowns at the top are the reason for all of these excuses in the first place.

Is it Germany where clubs are partially fan-owned?

How would that work here?

We’d end up in the Championship or League One, as we’d have no money to swim with the rest of the sharks.
