Dare I say it, he’s looking like a bargain. Twice the player of Winks. Thought he was immense yesterday. Lacks in the final third but what an engine.

I like how he wants to bomb forward and make something happen. Imagine if he had Mavadidi, Fatawua and one of the new boys attacking with him.

Not sure he’s twice the player of Winks. He’s had one bad game, was very good against Spurs and Fulham.

He's a good midfielder for the level of a newly promoted side that expects to lose every game. I'm not so sure that warrants the £20mil price tag.

****ing hell, talk about negative……

I dont mind him but I dont see him having much about him either. Not his fault that he costed so much but I feel it's a bit premature to call him excellent and a bargain before we've even won a game with him in the side.

For me there's too much overlap between Skipp and Winks for them to be at their best playing together. And Skipp is the better player.

Fully agree. In the system we play, there's no need for both of them. Ndidi, Skipp, Buononotte/BEK has to be combination.

20-25m seems steep, but those are the sort of prices Premier League players go for these days. I think Skipp was good today, and has looked good in almost all the games so far. He looks like he has been working down the coalmine since he was 8 years old, but he's quite mobile, good under pressure and good at carrying the ball forwards. Also decent when tackling too.

Hard to believe Winks isn't the first name on the team sheet, and I think that's more down to Cooper than Winks, but in this system, I think Skipp is better than Winks, and he looked better next to Ndidi than Winks in today's game.

I see Skipp being an integral part of the team for the next 3-4 seasons.

I see him as a steady Eddie in the middle. Decent all rounder, but he won't set the world on fire. He can pass, he can tackle, works hard, he's good under pressure, but he doesn't have flair. And you know what, sometimes that's what you need in the middle. Maybe that's why he wasn't used as much at spurs and they wanted more from a midfielder. But for a standard prem side, he's sometimes what's required
