Wouldn't be QPR's best player. Over twenty million, in an already precarious financial position, and he doesn't get in our side. This signing alone should have people under serious heat. Obviously they'll be the ones telling us all it's OK though.

As each game week passes by, this looks to be money badly spent. Clearly doesn’t improve the starting eleven and will be a squad player on massive wages for the remainder of his contract. A terrible acquisition at £25M! Beggars belief!!!

Unfortunately we are stuck with him, PSR means we'd need 20m to break even. The only positive I have is he was brilliant in the championship with Norwich

The amount we paid for a player we didn’t need was absolutely insane. 
 

That money on a striker or a solid centre half could’ve made the difference this season. Oliver Skipp wasn’t what we needed.

 

Even more annoying we paid Spurs half of the Maddison fee back for essentially nothing. No impact, nowhere near able to recoup what we paid (meaning we won’t shift him), no use to us.

 

Not a dig at the player, more the fact that he was ever on our radar and the transfer was actually sanctioned. Every transfer is a gamble, but this one was never going to be a fruitful one.

This all comes from the drive for "premiership experience" which seemed to dominate our summer transfer plans once Cooper took charge. 

 

Prem experience is expensive in and of itself, and it doesn't guarantee anything. We now have Skipp BDCR and Ayew in the club on some decent wages without any real value in selling them.

 

I would argue that our best signings have been been Bilal an Facundo who had very little Prem experience between them.

Spot on.

 

Those three are Cooper's legacy and condemned us before a ball was kicked.  Furthermore they will be three millstones we will carry into The Championship next year.

Skipp was always a bewildering signing.  Uninspired and yet he has still managed to disappoint despite very low expectations.
