True, though prices paid these days in the premier league are ridiculous across the board. Though Fofana, Maddison, and (less so) Tielemans were similar or more money and were far from proven players at the time.

I get that there's a lot of negativity surrounding the club right now, but I cannot fathom why people are immediately writing this potential signing off. 

 

He's young, creative, will have potentially huge resale value, wants to come, has a good CV, is highly regarded and isn't insanely expensive. 

 

If Saints or Ipswich were making this signing, I suspect the same folk would be damning the board for not having done so.

If an expert told them who to buy they’d buy someone else anyway there thick as shite. That’s why we keep getting players don’t give them a chance then sell them for a snip of the price next season. The club is done while rudkin is here.
