£10m based on what?

normally transfer market over values players and they have him down at £400k

I thought I’d have people moaning that I’d undervalued him !

he’s England U20 level and if he’d been fit all season then may have seen him in the U21 squad.  I think below that amount we wouldn’t take the money

Build a defence around him next season and alleviate us from this mental slavery of the class of 2024/25.

Oh ffs, I really hope this isn’t true, but apparently Chelsea have made a substantial offer to take him.

Enzo may have been disclosing some stuff about our youngsters

Not usually a club that move in silence tbh. Typically they try to unsettle in the media but perhaps after the cooperation last summer things might have changed.

Id be gutted if he went there because he’s never playing for them

He's not at their level.

He seems a sensible lad so I doubt he'd say yes... Better off playing not being 1 of 60 squad players

For next season I’d be happy with Nelson and Coady starting with Souttar and Darling from Swansea (available on a free to challenge)

Sell Faes, release Vestergaard (if no-one will pay a nominal fee) and loan Okoli back to Italy

Souttar (if and when fit) or Darling would be in over Coady. If Vestergaard, Faes or Coady are starting 11 next season it will be very disappointing. It might be unrealistic to shift all 3 out the club in one summer but at least try and keep it to one of them (as long as the one isn’t Faes) and keep them as 4 choice for emergencies.

If Sheffield United secure promotion I can see them coming in for Souttar and taking him on a permanent deal. His book value will be somewhere between £7m-£9m so if they can get him for somewhere around the £10m plus add ons, would make sense for a club very likely to be in the relegation battle.

I would side with Coady purely for Nelson’s development. With a hectic fixture schedule I’m sure they would all get good game time

How is playing with Coady going go help Nelson's development? Coady threw a fit last season when Nelson was ahead of him in the pecking order, he only cares for himself.

Have I missed something? What evidence do we have of him throwing a fit? I agree with the previous comment that Nelson would do well next to Coady.

When Nelson started whilst Vestergaard was injured Coady went and did an interview with the media saying he joined us to play games and that he's always ready. Word is that he wasn't happy being lower in the pecking order than a youth player and was putting pressure on Maresca to start him at the expense of Nelson.

I personally don’t think Coady is a good professional. Age means nothing if you are not a good role model. Souttar would be far better imo. To be fair, I think Nelson seems more mature than Coady anyway. We might be doing him a disservice suggesting he needs a ‘more senior’ player alongside.

Development of what? Podcasting? Nightclubbing?

People are still falling for Coadys nonsense. “He talks well”

Should already be on 50-100 games for us. Was clear as day in pre-season as a 16-17 year old that he was a clas act in the making.

He's always been hyped up which is why I'm surprised there's always less talk about him. When he did play last year, you could just see that he oozed class which made the decision to spend money on Okoli absolutely bizarre. He just needs to get a bit stronger and then develop the experience of playing against certain types of forwards.
