Get rid of the shit like Faes and Coady, and start Nelson.

We should not sell Nelson under any circumstance.

Exactly. Remove players who do not care and are not good enough. They have got us relegated 2 times now. If we still keep and play them. Shocking!

play 2 of Okoli, Nelson and souttar. They will do well in the championship. Get rid at any cost the players you have mentioned. Vestegaard too I would add to leave.

Oh and we can add Vesty to that list

I take your point. I always thought we would have been better to take the points deduction with KDH, particularly when we 'saved ' £10m in buying Skipp. (i realise a different accounting period)

When it comes to Nelson (and Chelsea have an interest if rumours are correct) we should most definitely keep. There is no point in selling players unless there is an obvious replacement eg Stolarkysk)- or past their best with reference to too many of current squad. Nelson has been with City sine he was 9; I cannot see he would want to leave to become a squad player with another club in the PL. He must stay for at least next season, and hopefully beyond. Consistently good with Oxford: not sure if we could have said same about other central defenders we have.

We would be lucky to get 7m-10m for Nelson, we will bank more profit out of Hermansen and El Khannouss.

I think we only sell Nelson if we cant get him to sign a new long term deal as he current one has 2 years.

I get we need to make money from players we produce but to sell them without having an impact on the first team seems counter productive to me? Must keep for next season, another solid season next year and his price will rise again!

Surely we won’t consider selling him - could be our centre back for the next 10 years.

We can get enough for Faes (🤣), Kristensen (🤣), Soumare (🤣), Ndidi and Hermansen (😩) to keep our heads about water on PSR.

Anything for Vestergaard, Coady, Winks, Ayew, BDCR and Daka is a bonus.

We'll sell Faes, Nelson starts with Okoli, Vesty and Coady stay because Souttar is unavailable. January we get to turf one out.

There's no point selling Nelson as we'd need to buy a replacement. Unless we dive back in for Mbemba on a free.

I've got a feeling Vestergaard goes, he has no book value, we could sell him for a very modest fee.

Whilst people will talk about wages the 35% relegation wage reduction makes a difference.

With no free or very small fees I can see us moving on a few.

I'd be very surprised if he leaves in the summer. He's only had 1x season in the championship on loan.

Not even that , he missed a huge chunk due to injury , only played 17 games so far

Agreed. I highly doubt any team would spend this summer.

Just popped on here to look at what you thought of Nelson and why he’d been let out on loan this season.  You have got some player here.  An absolute rock in defence and always looks the most assured footballer on the pitch…..an absolute certainty to play for England at some point.

We wouldn’t be a Championship team next season if it wasn’t for him.  Best defender we’ve had since Matty Elliott.

Looking forward to our visit to you lot next season.  Visited Filbert Street many times so will be first trip to current stadium

It's not out the realms of possibility he has to be sold before the end of June/the summer. All depends if we're a) facing a PSR breach for 24/25 without significant sales or b) facing problems evidencing complying for 25/26 and need to front load our attempts to comply.

He's a £40-50m player in the making but you look through this squad and scratch your head as to where we can even turn £10-20m profit on anyone other than Hermansen and that's quite possibly not enough.

Sickening.

Be careful what you wish for though Ric, we're lucky to be owned by King Power and so called John Rudkin is the best in the business.

There comes a point where the punishment is better than trying to comply.

Thanks for the input. Used to go to The Manor lots back in the day as best mate used to play for Oxford in their golden time. Soft spot for the club as also used to live nearby in Thame. Happy days.

It'd be so incredibly dumb to sell this lad. We're not gonna get anywhere near his peak value and we need a quality centre back. It'd genuinely be worse than giving Vesty another 3 years, which is single handedly the worst decision I've seen a football club make.
