Didn’t look like a pen to me, and I had a good view from the Kop.  Mav’s too close to the defender.  I wouldn’t be happy if a pen was given against us for that.

It's about consistency though. Could accept if it was the same in every incident, for every club.

If it's the one on the first half I remember thinking it wasn't a penalty and would have been livid if given against us. His hand had a natural movement.

That's true but sometimes it is a pen. No one knows what handball is anymore.

I thought the law changed to say that the ball hitting the hand is now a penalty even if it's obvious that the person isn't moving their hand towards the ball - it's whether it's in an unatural position or not.

The one yesterday his arm swigging in a natural way to how he was moving so it wasn't a pen.

You’re never gonna get a penalty when most of the crowd and most of the players don’t even shout for it.

I shout for everything even if i know its not a penalty 🤣

where else is his hand supposed to be? In the changing room!?

( his hand was NOT in a natural position)

Why they just don't fully get rid of this stupid rule? I know incidents like the one yesterday were given a penalty before and refs/VAR will award a penalty again for the same after the international break but it's just stupid. Just award a penalty when there's a clear scoring opportunity. For decades it worked perfectly like this.

It’s quite clearly a handball, but personally don’t think it’s deliberate/intentional. I’m sure there’d have been more of an uproar if we hadn’t have won.

If the ref gives it, it probably doesn’t get over turned. But one of our players must’ve shagged the refs daughter yesterday which is why we got next to nothing.

yea but he was too close to him for it to be considered un natural

The ref yesterday was Darren Bond. He's just poor and incredibly inconsistent with his decisions. That is any game he refs.  I don't think it was a agenda, I think the ref was just crummy.

But I don't know what is handball and what is nower days.

If you're talking about the Edouard one then it most definitely wasn't a penalty. I think somebody has tied his boot laces together before he came on

Thought Daka may have pranked him but then I remembered Daka can't tie shoelaces.

I know that might have been the decision but it was a very bad decision. A wrong decision.

That handball is as blatant as I’ve seen since VAR has been implemented. Ask wilf what he thinks

It's getting nauseating now just how the weirdos on here are so sensitive to everything. The BBC have an agenda against us, that FA, PGMOL, the Premier League. Freak behaviour.

The kind of stuff you expect from the idiots supporting the top teams and now it's filtered down to us.

Makes this place absolutely insufferable, too. I wish they'd just keep it in the fragile minded echo chamber ref thread tbh.

Not everything's a conspiracy.

We'd be fuming if that was given against us and fans have moaned for 2 or 3 years about this un/natural thing.

Either all ball to hand incidents are handball - similar to the way hockey does it - or it has to be left to common sense / interpretation which is where the whole inconsistency argument comes in.
