Okoli is an old school centre half who wins headers, wins clumsy tackles, but is not the new evolved football playing centre half like the top Premier League/European  defenders, whereas Nelson is quite calm on the ball Okoli just needs to launch it, he will improve hopefully and fingers crossed we have a young centre half pairing for a couple of seasons in the Championship and hopefully not Division 1…

For his size & stature he should be so dominating in this league, the guy is an absolute fairy; spends all game on the floor, barely wins a header & struggles to pass the football. Another terrible waste of money / bit of ‘scouting’ to add to the ever growing list

He can’t play with a football at his feet so he needs to at least be decent defensively

0/3 aerial duels won today

Ring Cremonese back and tell them to take him

Not sure if it’s all the Xmas cheese and booze still in my system but I thought he had a fairly decent game, poor on the ball but we already know that’s not one of his strengths.

Won a few headers but looks like he "won a charity place" on the ball.

There were times Stol would find Skipp with some high risk passing in the box to beat the press, the ball would then go to Caeb and by the time he had sorted his feet, looked up and thought about what he was going to do the press had managed to retreat back Infront of him making the previous high risk play in the box pointless!

Just one of the endless fundamental issues I witnessed.

Loves a hoof up down the line doesn't he.

This thread needed bumping because Okoli’s poor performances seemed to have gone under the radar here. He’s been bullied today against Oxford, against Wrexham during the week and against Coventry last Saturday. His ragged disorganised defending and terrible passing for a player that cost relatively significant funds is a big problem.

Him and Page were culpable for their first goal 100% - I don't really want to dig the young lad out as he shouldn't have to be back there doing the centre half's jobs for them, but yeah.

Caleb should be doing far, FAR better.

It's shocking how bad a cb in the modern age is at passing.  He takes so long to decide what to do, the initial pass is gone.  He lets the ball roll across him too often as well and ends up in a bad position.  Sort or long pass he always hits it too slow.

Of course our players keep passing to him and expecting something different.  Ricardo is the biggest culprit

Lazy comment as we already know it but I genuinely don’t think I’ve seen many footballers that pass as badly as Okoli does out from the back.

Even Jack Hobbs and Michael Morrison could play out better than him
