He showed he had something about him V Northampton first half. He just needs a consistent run in the development side then loan him out at first opportunity.

in PSR terms he's books at about £2m a year so its not a lot, loaning him out also bags a loan fee and at least a percentage of his wages off the books for hte rest of the season, which all helps

Even Smithies got a reveal video didn't he? I think it's more to do with where the club are at regarding signings and they think we'll just lap up any old shit.

He did. And I watched every minute of the interview. 
 

Never seen the guy again but he was the only signing we got that year till Faes on deadline day. 😄

He’s 18 and has a professional contract with a premier league club, he obviously has something about him & being only 18 has a little time yet before being written off I think.

He seems one of those 'for the future' we don't have to pay a lot, but we can sign him and the fans will get off our back cause we've signed a Chelsea player, low risk kind of signings. Doubt we will see much of him.
