You're not the only one, and there's plenty more of these kinds of posts occurring quite often.

Sad state of the game that goes beyond a Leicester problem. But it probably resonates more because of what the mismanagement of our club has led us towards.

Succinct and perfectly accurate. It's both a societal (footballing wise) issue with VAR, FFP/PSR etc. and the spectacular capitulation we have witnessed. I think we'd all have been ok if there had been a gradual decline towards our historical position and this was happening in 10 years time (still would be happy with things but would certainly be more palatable), but the way that the owners and Brenda (because he does deserve some credit in our demise), but the way we have squandered such gifts and chances to build something is beyond galling.

Very similar feeling for me too. Although I’m not a big purchaser of replica kits I think the realisation that a shirt now costs £70 shocked me. It’s just vile profiteering. Not the biggest problem we face, but a symbol of something deeply unpleasant.

I hope we can find a new owner with passion for the project, a new director of football, and an enthusiastic young manager

It's a symptom of the malaise.

At a certain point under the tenure of these owners they were messaging supporters begging trying to get them to commit to season tickets.

Now they look at us like we're walking wallets since they can shift the tickets. **** you; pay me.

Gonna be a bit contrary, but I still buzz off a win as much as ever. And after a defeat, I kinda turn my back so as to anull the pain. Yesterday and Forest being good examples of turning off.

Late goals at Ipswich and Saints are still like heroin oozing straight into a vein.

I chose to carry on with the decorating yesterday rather than watch it . It was pretty obvious from the team sheet what was going to happen. I m now thinking of selling my tickets for Chelsea - without Buonanotte whats the point

Think you may have to pay someone to take it

First time I've felt disinterested watching the game yesterday, before I would watch the games and the family would know that I don't want any distractions.

Yesterday I was watching the match while I was doing other things, just looking up on the screen now and again. I'm finding us boring and I'm not excited as I used to be.

Does anybody else feel the same?

Don't get me wrong I still watch all the games but I don't feel the same as I used to.

Plus as anyone noticed that less people are posting here than they used to, is there a coincidence.

It’s the first away day that I’ve been to where we’ve been panned and I’ve left feeling fine. Absolutely numb to how shit we’ve turned.

Yep.me too.

Unfortunate  enough to go OT yesterday but any other away game I'm not at I wont even listen now just have score updates.

I'd like to say I dont care but the amount of annoyance  I had during yesterdays game obviously  shows I still do.

Wish I didn't though...

Although the home fans were lacklustre at best, I thought it was one of the weakest away ends I’ve experienced for us in quite some time

You’re clearly not alone and I think football’s bubble could be bursting a little.

I can see a growing feeling across fans that there’s;

• Too much football

• The competition is to imbalanced, especially towards the top end

• It’s too expensive

• It’s too time demanding

• The regurgitated drama season after season - is exhausting; especially if your club does nothing every season (👋 Hi Stoke fans!)

Whether it will burst enough to bring the game back to the common fan - I doubt it - but you know, there’s always non-league.

What else ya gonna do?

Wank off to pop idols?

That’s the reason you do it.

I’ve only done 1 away game so far this season which is easily the lowest of the last 15 years and the only time I’ve regretted it slightly was Southampton.

This thread and the stadium atmosphere thread and others about fan engagement and disinterest are all interwoven. It's not just a Leicester thing, the game as a whole is fading.

UK football especially has jumped the shark. Too much, too expensive, not a working class sport anymore, people just don't feel like the game belongs to them like it used to for so many decades. People don't want fireworks, funfairs, light shows and the rest. Every stadium now is doing the same thing and apart from one or two outliers they're all sterile. Our club ticks all those boxes. I still look forward to match days as it's the only time I see one of my best mates but we don't even try to get away tickets anymore. The expense and hassle combined with all of the elements above mean it's just not worth the effort.

I do wonder at times how much these sorts of posts have become a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy and maybe just simply appointing a good manager would actually turn things, but the club is very, very uninspiring at the minute. I think we stick around hoping it gets better, but there is a really damning emptiness I feel about things these days. What bothered me more about yesterdays result than the result itself, was how little it actually did bother me. But this isn't new. It's been the case for a couple of years now to be totally honest.

I think the club is just very half-hearted at the minute.

When I first saw the headline I thought you meant Lineker standing down from MoTD at the end of the season.

Well, at least that might tempt me to watch the programme again.

An lcfc twitter page had a clip from 2015-16 on it the other day and it gave me goosebumps, even 8 years on. I totally forgot football could make me feel like that.

Even if we appointed a mediocre manager like Oscar Garcia I’d have some enthusiasm for the season. I was vehemently against appointing Cooper because he’s not only useless - he’s just ****ing drab.

If by some miracle we appointed a good manager, it’s not long until we’re back at square one because this regime is inept.

"less people are posting on here than they used to", probably because they get barred if they become to outspoken (just like Lineker).

Maybe you should just post better stuff like me and then you wouldn’t get barred

Dont get me wrong, I am not a fan Of Cooper and his signings, along with his really strange team selections (Soumare a good cameo sub performance, starts next game, use of Riccardo, dropping Winks, Okoli who I thought was playing well dropped for a player nowhere near team this season in Vestegaard, signing of Skipp and playing him in a horrible lack of creation midfield trio, dropping both Mavididi and Fatawu, the list is endless), however I would have taken our points haul and league position at this stage of the season!

We need to forget the side that finished 5th twice or won the FA Cup, this group is nowhere near as good as the squad that got us relegated IMO. With what we have, we are not doing bad. However, lets make moves and punt him out during the International break and get Potter in. Im not sure whats going on but Moyes and Potter have been linked today. I know they are not reliable sources but hopefully someone knows something and the end of Cooper is nigh
