I'm flabbergasted at the sheer number of folk in here wanting Moyes. We've just sacked Cooper who played turgid and boring football that nobody liked. So why the flying duck would we now go and hire someone else who does just that?

He's the only one on the list who has experience of taking over a struggling club and keeping them up. Won a European trophy less than 2 years ago.

Robins will be out of his depth. RVN and to some extent Corberan an unknown quantity. Marsch lol no

West Ham defensively last season were appalling under Moyes. Our main chance of survival is getting our attack going- would he do that?

We need a manager that is going to want to stay for the duration. Not a stepping stone to piss off in a year or to get sacked again by being sub standard. We’re a club who needs a manager with a vision, that believes in what the existing club can accomplish, spend a little in January and keep us up, then help us get back into the top 10 over time.

We absolutely have a replacement lined up. Look at the club’s IG announcement. It says the coaches will be taking training, not that they’ll be in caretaker charge of the next game as it often does.

Yes, I am clutching at straws.

Still, nice news to wake up to!

Who cares?

There's levels throughout football and most managers and players want to test themselves at the best club they can.

I think a lot of fans care when a manager does a great job then leaves.

Honestly, I don't get sacking him after a game we were expected to lose!

It's one thing being expected to lose a game. It another to not even attempt to win it.

He had no intention of trying to win that game yesterday, he just didn't want to lose and I don't care who we are playing, we should at the very least be trying to beat them.
