The Stats of the leading candidates for those who are keen to analyse -

David Moyes

Graham Potter

RVN

I'm sure we will all employ some mental gymnastics to as to who we prefer and why.... I still find it relatively hard to see past Moyes, given his stats over a long career.... Potter gives Steve Cooper Vibes.... Look at Coopers Stats below.... his Swansea and Forest Win Percentage is better than Potters at Swansea and Brighton.... his overall career stats are better than Potter as well....

That’s not comparing like to like as coopers are boosted by the England youth set up. He can probably manage but not at elite EPL level same as some of our players, good in the championship EPL poor.

Niko Kovac

Rudi Garcia

Roger Schmidt

Sergio Conceicao

Urs Fischer

Edin Terzic

All readily available.

It’s that time again, when all the hipsters start naming German randomers.

It ain’t gonna happen!

which would be a fair point if Potter hadn't been managing Ostersund who had an average attendance of 783 when he took over. I'm not sure the 4th Tier of Norwegian football is any more "unkind" on Stats.  My personal opinion, is that Potter did well at Brighton, getting them promoted, and he became fashionable because of that.  Let's not forget, Brighton are primed to succeed with the scouting they do, finding hidden gems.   I'm not sure he'd have the same success here.

It's another reason I'd prefer Moyes for now... he has a track record of making teams win ugly with average players.

is that what we all want as Leicester fans? Probably not....    BUT in my opinion, it's more likely to keep us in the league and allow us to stabilise and build.

What's the story with RVN? Why did he lose his job and why's he been out of a job for so long? These are just some things that worry me about him.

Potter is my first choice and I feel we will go all out for him! But I would like Schmidt or Conceicao. Something different to what we’re used to as well.

He resigned because he felt the board weren't supporting him enough. He's been out of work since because he's been waiting for the Leicester job to come up.

Potter had little to do with transfers

was all built around the chairman’s stat based system

Which was run and developed alongside potter and his staff.

Like Walsh and Pearson.

I’d assume that Potter is the ideal candidate to get that working again here. But he’ll need his own staff and director by the sounds of it Rudkin perhaps wasn’t ready to relinquish that part of his job.

I love him already

I don’t know, I think the potential is there with a few players names below, so it wouldn’t take a huge influx of brutes in Jan for it to look more like one of his teams.

Okoli

Ndidi

Soumare

Skipp

Ajew

Wouldn’t prioritise the latter tbh, don’t think they even have that filter on wyscout

I'll be amazed if we put in that much foresight.

We'll hire him, try changing the squad again next window to appease him, end up with a hodge podge half way between squad, Top will be disappointed that we don't have enough possession, we'll sack him in the summer and be stuck with a mess again.

True. Sometimes I forget to index on the board’s stupidity.

Potter's record in English football really is as grim as I perceived it to be.

Brighton had a squad that were predicted to narrowly avoid relegation for most of his time there and he walked into Chelsea at the worst possible moment.

Need to apply context to win percentage stats.

Potter would be my choice as we are in no position to gamble. He did a fantastic job at Brighton building the foundations to the standard they are today and working without any star players or massive egos. Moyes would be safe, but RVN would be a risk and you can basically disregard the 2 wins against us because at that point we had lost the plot

He didn't get them promoted, Chris Hughton did.

Potter was their Puel. After what Puel set us up to go on to do, Potter makes sense really.

Who are the other 2?

Matias Almeyda

Urs Fischer

I'd love Sergio Conceicao or Niko Kovac but highly doubt either would come. Also very intrigued by what Jimmy Thelin is doing with Aberdeen.

Didn't he get the sack because he had a falling out with the players?
