 Leicester ask about Carlos Corberán  

 

The 'Foxes' are willing to pay West Bromwich Albion the Spaniard's release clause (2.5 million)

 

The Foxes are back on the attack once again. Leicester have approached West Bromwich Albion to ask about Corberán's release clause (2.5 million euros)  and they are willing to pay it.

What’s the shortest acceptable time frame to appoint a manager after sacking your previous one? 
 

There’s no way they could announce a new manager today.

 

But is tomorrow a bit soon too?

The timing seems a bit weird.  If the board were thinking of ejecting Cooper and didn't have anyone lined up, then the beginning of the international break would surely have been the time? Not us though, we wait until one game after the break then get rid.  Common sense would suggest that conversations with potential replacements may have been taking place during the break, in which case an announcement should have happened?  Not us though.

 

I wonder how long it's going to take? The last couple have taken around 2 weeks which os 3 more games.

It might be? Roberto Mancini, big name, more experience than any of the others and the last Italian manager we had was quite successful

I wanted Corberan in the summer but the only thing that worries me is West brom don't score many goals. He's probably the best the championship has to offer along with Carrick and Danny Rohl

Interesting that no big club is interested in RVN except a championship club and a German league 2 club. While Potter is wanted by Everton and West Ham if they sack their managers soon.

IIIRC a load on here were betting on Gokhan Inler because it'd be funny to watch the odds change and we actually did sign him.

Not convinced by RVN at all. Think his reputation as a player is potentially midguiding people.

Won 1 in his last 6 and that’s in the championship. Mind you i think they have drawn a lot of them, so not lost.Massive gamble

I agree, mid season can be problematic looking for a new manager.

 

However for me Corberan would be my choice. He was the one I wanted before Cooper was hired. His Style I think will suit our playing squad best, plus it appears he has a tactical brain.

Is Corberan a risk that we cannot afford to take? Admittedly it could quite easily work, but…

Albrighton didn’t seem to rate Corberan on big Sam’s podcast. And iirc he was asked in the context of whether him and Maresca could make the step up (pre Chelsea). He said yes to Maresca and a hesitant maybe to Corberan.
