Hopefully he learned from that.

Or the six dissenting players learned from that. It's not reported what the problem was exactly or even the reasons for their dissatisfaction.

If Manchester United come knocking, he’ll be off in a heartbeat lol

Which would mean his done a good job!

How many managers would stay here if the big six come knocking anyway?

Can't stop looking at pictures and videos of him.

I've been the same, I spent longer watching interviews of him yesterday than I did spending time with my kids.

Please tell me it isn't gonna be "Ruud Van Nistelrooy's Leicester" like "Wayne Rooney's Plymouth" and "Lampard's Coventry"

It'll be "Ruud Van Nisterlrooy's little Leicester" actually.

Championed Enzo and Mavididi too so I've broken the curse. I'm very good with managers, identified Slot in 2019 and knew Alonso was going to be the bollocks.

I'M BACK

You ignore them mate! lol

Even Ferguson signed Bebe!

Soccer Saturday panel not impressed. Apparently we only signed him because of the 4 games at united.

And he won't even know what the championship is if we are to get relegated.

Merson also referred to his spell at Ajax.

Love this. Exactly the sort of things that get the best out of our club !!!

I think that phrase will be used in the commentary today, even before he is in the dugout!

Kris Boyd going for pure hyperbole as usual for effect and Paul Merson showing why he’s on TV for comedy and not his football knowledge.

Unreal takes on SS.

Tells you all you need to know, terrible pundits.

What is it that Sky see in that illiterate clown Merson? They push his worthless, risible opinions on viewers every chance they can get. He was even on their Thanksgiving Day NFL coverage for heaven’s sake.

Not sure, I think they think he a character who people find funny.

I'm not sure they are interested in have great pundits, it a like a celebrity culture.

You find much better analysis on most fan channels.

Feel quite mixed about this one. Seemingly had a decent record at PSV and had he been appointed in the summer I'd have been OK about it.

That said I wasn't overly impressed with United in both the games against us. First game could have gone either way, and the second not really sure how much the result was down to RVN as Cooper and the team had a shocker.

What I am more optimistic about is that I think this is a make or break appointment from his perspective and the fact he backs himself is a big positive. If this goes wrong I imagine that'll be the end of his managerial career, certainly in the big leagues.

Another positive is that I think he will have the connections both with clubs and players alike to bring in some solid players in the transfer window if needed so this will at least give us a chance if we do drop into the bottom 3 during December.

Great dialogue on NBC’s pregame today. Robbie Mustoe thinks he’s inexperienced, Robbie Earle name drops Tony Pulis and Big Sam to tell him off from the “experience” tagline, talks about how Enzo was inexperienced before last season, too, then dives into Ruud’s youth record at PSV and the rave reviews from Gakpo, Madueke, etc.

Nice to have a somewhat intelligent discussion from pundits.
