TBF, our previous transfer window was under a massive shadow of 10 pts being deducted.

I don't believe it ever was. Uninformed people panicked unnecessarily about it.

It really doesn't tell us anything new.

I found the bit about Brian Barry-Murphy quite interesting. Wondered where we might go post Ruud whether we're in a good place or a bad place and sense he might be an option. He's probably earnt another go in the lower leagues and glad we've got a few coaches that are club employed but you have to strike a balance.

Find it really unusual that he's literally brought just one coach with him.

Looking at the Palace and Fulham games in particular, I’m wondering whether previous team talks have been along the lines of “keep doing what you’re doing” whilst the opposition was working on improvements.

We came out fired up and positive, spurs didn’t know what’s hit them. Whilst we weren’t bad in the first half we needed inspiration and it looks like at half time we got it.

Hoping this influences future half time team talks as that was our best 2nd half display since he’s been here.

So he did bollock someone about their boots… just it was Facundo and not Okoli

Among them was Facundo Buonanotte, who Van Nistelrooy challenged in Spanish because he was unhappy he had chosen moulded studs on a wet pitch rather than longer studs and struggled to retain his footing during his brief cameo as a substitute.

Whoever it was that got an earful it worked. We were so much better and at the level you need to be everyweek.

Facundo has to learn to give and go and not try and beat eveybody himself. All part of his learning.

Took them all Sapori on Wednesday night. Laid down some authority supposedly off the back of the media articles and used it as an example for getting their heads down

You van moan about his selection and tactics but I think his tone is about right for this bunch of plonkers we have

I see what you did there   :appl:

I really want it to work for him here because you can tell personality wise as a coach he’s exactly what we need. No nonsense, demands high standards and won’t allow players not putting it in. Needs help from this pathetic board.

I am a realist , we are an absolute shambles of a club at the moment,  and as long as we have a DOF that doesn't have a clue then nothing will change, regardless of who is manager.

I hope , as everyone who cares for this club hopes, that today could be the start of something, but I highly doubt it.

You’re obviously right that yesterday’s win will not resolve the deep-rooted structural issues at our club. But in the context of this season, it really could change a lot. Whatever RvN has been saying to the players since the Fulham game, it clearly has had an effect. They needed to get something from yesterday and they did. It could have a major influence on how the rest of our season pans out. Then, whether we survive or go down, major changes will be required to the way the club is run.

What is refreshing is for the next week or so the posters who made Cooper out as a superior coach will be quieter.

That surely was our biggest scalp of the season in terms of “teams we wouldn’t expect to beat”, I know they had their injury problems etc but a professional performance and loved the dark arts shown.

Cooper superior in what sense? He was dogshite 20 percent win ratio, RVN is 27 percent atm.

You have to get him 2/3 players this week. I dont think we will unfortunately.

Top / Rudkin have to deliver, we do have the money available to bring in 1/2 permanent players, I hope we use it wisely.

Agreed, seems like he has got them on board and won't take no shit which like you say is exactly what we need.

Now let him build his coaching team and bring in a couple of players.

Let's hope you are right, the team obviously gave it all for Ruud yesterday so maybe there is a glimmer.

Im hoping he considers a back 3 option more now.  Coady, vesty and faes (i know there shit lol)

This will hopefully shore up the defence a bit more and then lets see what the boys up top can do

3 of our last 5 games are against Wolves, Southampton and Ipswich.

Huge games for us. If we can go into the final 5 on a decent points tally I’d be confident, but it’s going to go to the wire.

Yeah but our run between now and then is pretty hideous. We could be 3/4/5 points adrift by that point.
