Can’t believe people are serious about him staying on. He’s absolutely ****ing useless. Get rid as soon as financially viable.

I certainly want him gone as I think it's become untenable for him. I'm just concerned that the club hierarchy will think that the momentum from a decent ending to the season since Brighton away might be carried through to next.

Just sitting on the fence, what do we think RVN should have done to get more results?

As I see it, he was criticised for not playing buonanotte and Bilal together, he did that with a poor result, we called for wingbacks when mavididi performed poorly, he did that with poor results.

When we was starting Winks, match analysis on BTG by Anil showed we were just weak with few challenges in the centre, he brings in Soumare to try to combat that. We also had the JJ issues, it was clear Coulibally isn't the player RVN wanted. The frustrating thing for me is the zonal marking which I think we're crap at, RVN has also said fitness an issue, I dont think we're talking about match fitness, by the high intensity aggressive football RVN wanted to play fitness, maybe we're beginning to see that, I dont know, think it does make sense to use our money elsewhere though.

All those words but no mention of breaking a football first record of nine consecutive home defeats without scoring.

What has Ruud done well? Please don’t say bomb Jannik out of the squad, as every coach minus Enzo (in the Championship) has done that.

Please don’t let these ideas creep into your heads people. We have just conceded 20 shots to a team also relegated and we are actually now above. Let that sink it. We have broken some of worst records ever this year and we are still above them. That’s how bad they are. RVN get rid, awful manager.

But you haven't suggested what RVN needed to do? He found that formula where we were almost getting the balance right in games , but then it all fell apart.

I don't want RVN here next season, but I also don't want the club being where we're at, and looking at where we are, where money is tight, I think it wiser to put the money into players

Yeah...despite the result, the performance today just reaffirmed for me that he is actually awful haha

If there was a chance of switching out RVN for a more progressive manager, such as Rohl, Still, Muslić type then I still would.  A few wins when the pressure if off against 12 point Southampton, a bottom three Ipswich, a poor Spuds and West Ham side isn't much to celebrate - and we will finish the season at least 10 points from safety.

I understand financially it saves us a few quid to stick with RVN but, it's a big ask to turn this Club around and I haven't seen enough from him which suggests he has what it takes. If we were keeping him he needs a strong DofF and better, more experienced backroom staff to help organise the team (in particular the defence).

Come on now.

That’s a terrible reason to keep Ruud, “what should he have done?”.

How about when lacking any creative threats (look at our xG during those nine home defeats), to not name the same starting 11 that included Reid and Ayew when Stephy, Facundo and even Kasey were fit and available?

I said it before, but will say it again, listen to Monday’s WYS with Dominic Wells (who surely everyone on here respects) says how tactically awful that Ruud has been.

I see no harm in giving him a transfer window and 10 games in the Championship. If it starts going south early doors you get Dyche in.

You can't compare his Premier League record to Will Still and Danny Rohl because they've never competed in the Premier League.

He's been awful but the season fixture list means it's been a "kind" end to things. Let's not forget we have got progressively worse under him, some players have regressed significantly and we've been so full of holes we're a cheese grater.

It’s almost like we’ve learnt nothing with Cooper and when that happens? 🤯

Beating Southampton and Ipswich at home shouldn’t warrant him staying. The losing run, not scoring at home which felt like a year, he’s produced too much shit to warrant a chance in the Championship.

Why, they'll be challenging at the top of the Championship next season.

It really doesn't make any difference who the manager is, the gulf between the bottom of PL / top of championship is huge.

I would keep him and use the money we would waste in compensation on players.

Its not about the manager it's about the strength of the first team.

We will be a big fish in a small pond, like last time when a novice manager won us the championship.

Ipswich had two shots on target.

Great idea! Give him 10 games of more crap then we are stuck with his signings for 2/3 years on daft contracts just like we are stuck with Coopers terrible signings.

Cooper was buying dinosaurs and not very good ones, Ruud at least plays the youth and isn’t fixated on one style of play

If it’s true that Ruud presented a vision to the board which includes playing Monga, Evans etc. then I’m OK with him staying.

This is a real chance for us to build an identity focused on youth development. Now is the time.

Sometimes it isn't just about tactical issues. It's about how you instill a new mentality and motivation. Not to mention experience of handling situations as they develop on and off the pitch.

Look at the difference for us between Gary O'Neil and Vitor Pereira, with pretty much the exact same squad and formation. We always looked so fragile defensively and mentally under GON and teams just walked through us in midfield and we'd collapse and never look like getting back in the game. Now they all fight for every ball and play as a team much better defensively.
